This is a fraudulent policy. It says on item description that coverage starts when factory warranty expires. I purchased policy to add 4 years to to 3 factory warranty on $200 Quisinart convection microwave combo oven. Policy I received after purchase says coverage starts on day item being covered is purchased and runs along with factory warranty. I don't like that minimal informationt concerning this product is given; I would like to know that my specific product is covered and I would like information that expressly states that the kitchen protection plan that I purchased covers the specific item for which I purchased it. I don't care for the vague information provided. I feel that if I were to have a claim, I would be susceptible to not having my item replaced as I have no specifics regarding my plan and there is no clear connection to the product supposedly covered. ... show more

I just bought quite a few items for my house and insured several of them. I am going through my emails to organize things and now I have to dig around to find out which policy goes with what. Great start!!

purchased a 4 year plan. The coffee maker (Cuisinart dual ss-15) never worked perfectly from the start---it leaks water from the poorly designed washer grommet at the base of the k-cup reservoir. I filed a claim at Asurion. You would think that this was a NO BRAINER---well guess what; they say this type of situation is not covered. Does anyone else out there feel my frustration??????? I feel violated and embarrased (for falling for the insurance and the product). I really hope that Amazon will call me to discuss. ... show more

Trust me on this one you all. You would be wise to take the money you would have to pay for ANY of Asurion's Protection Scams and set it aside. Once you are in need of a repair take that money and have it fixed through the original company. The majority of these companies will work on a fair deal to please both parties, often at little or no cost. Asurion is nothing but a third party scam plain and simple. Amazon has always been great and I have appreciated them over the years. You have a problem and Amazon always takes care of it. This has not been the case when I have worked with Asurion on two separate occasions. If you must find out for yourself go ahead and take the risk, but please read Asurion's "fine print". If you value your time and want to save yourself a headache pass on ALL Asurion's Protection Scams. If you have already purchased several of Asurion's Protection Scams like I had you can return them through Amazon and they will gladly refund your money! Thanks Amazon for always working hard to take care of your customers. Asurion might want to take a lesson or two from Amazon regarding honesty and customer service. Never have I been lied to so much by a company's customer service, let alone mocked after treating the agent with dignity and respect. This is the second time I bought their plan, the first was on an expensive Krups product, Krups refused to honor the warranted because I purchased the product on Amazon and not from one of their suppliers. Luckily I had ASURION and they warranted the product. I will purchase an ASURION plan every time I make an on-line purchase from here on, I am very satisfied with them and their plan.
