I had bought a Fitbit Aria air digital scale almost 3 years ago. Other than need to change batteries occasionally, it worked fine. Then last week I got on the scale, a number appeared and then the screen went blank. I tried using the reset button on the bottom of the scale, changed the batteries- nothing worked. I went look at to my Amazon orders but couldn’t find my purchase of this plan, only purchase of the scale. I called Amazon to get more information and they told me it was a 3 year plan which expired the next week! They also gave me Asurion’s phone number. I called Asurion and their phone message said we could file a claim online - wow! So I hung up, went to their website, entered my email & they showed me the device and when the plan expired. I filled out the information as to the issue with the scale & submitted my claim. It was so easy! They emailed me a pre-paid shipping label to put on the package to be dropped off at UPS. And the day I dropped the package off at UPS, later that afternoon I received my Amazon gift card for the amount of the original cost of the scale! I never buy a protection plan, but I am so glad that I did this time! Thank you Asurion - you made filing a claim so easy!

I purchased an Asurion warranty when I purchased a TENS unit. I didn't figure I'd really need the warranty, but the unit worked twice and then stopped. My rating of four stars is because the initial process of filing a claim on my defective item was a nightmare. I was told by an Asurion rep to contact Amazon, and an Amazon rep in turn told me to contact an Asurion rep. I forget how many times I went back and forth before I lost my temper, and finally got someone that listened. Once I was given the correct information, the process was pretty straightforward after that. What I didn't realize is that Asurion doesn't replace the product itself. The warranty provides you with a gift card applied to your Amazon account. I guess that's probably a better way to do it anyway. With the TENS unit giving out after only using it twice, I'll be buying one from a different manufacturer. In all, I'm glad I purchased the warranty. It's a very reasonable price to pay in the event something goes wrong with the item you purchase.
