So I bought two Lectric XPremium bikes for Christmas. Our goal was to use them on a cross country trip with our RV. I bought a flat rack first because the bikes are so heavy at 75 pounds a piece and they can fold in half - mistake! I found this rack that will accommodate the weight as well as fat tire bike. It came fast and was easy to put together. There was no issues putting it on my RV. Trying to put the back bike was challenging at first, but then I remembered it tilts back. Wow it is easy to put the bike on or off! Well made, strong, adjustable. Perfect for your car, truck or RV!! As others have said, there is NO WAY I'm going to trust 4K worth of ebikes on a rack that doesn't have provisions for a hitch pin. Nope. I'll be removing the red handle/lock/rod and drilling out the mount to accept a standard hitch pin. Once that's done it will be a great bike rack. It's super sturdy, well-made, and a great value compared to other $600 racks. Get this rack but also get the tilting version. So glad I did. One more thing, whoever wrote "Bar Bent & Snapped Off" is clearly... You can see from the picture they posted that they left the rack sticking out beyond the side of their car and it hit something which broke it. Simple. So then they come here and post a nonsense review that has nothing to do with the quality of the product but rather as a means to extort the seller into providing a new rack. What kind of smooth brain does this? They even stated they had never even put a bike on it before they broke the thing BY CLEARLY HITTING SOMETHING, but still posted a review. For what? ... show more

My wife and I are retired and like to take our bikes with us when we travel. We didn’t want a “cheepo” rack, but didn’t want to spend over $500. I’m a mechanical engineer and always ensure things are well-built and likely to hold up over time. I was about to spend over $400 when I found this one. As I compared different racks I became convinced this one was as durable and easy to use as others that were three times the price. I don’t mind assembling things, so it wasn’t a challenge to put this one together. We have been traveling with it for two thousand miles with many mounts and unmounts. Assembly was easy and worked well for our trip. Only thing I don't overly like is that the pin does not go through the whole hitch bracket, would feel a little more at ease if Pin went through all the way.

We have 2 E-bikes with fat tires. Both bikes fit very well on the rack. It is a heavy duty rack with large places for the tires to fit in. Well designed. Great price. A very good buy. We also carried the bikes without the batteries installed.

The bar may have bent & snapped off while I was driving. I was thinking someone hit me in the parking lot when I was in the grocery store at night. But I was only there for 10 minutes. And if you look at the pictures, the metal is bent downward - not sideways. And I remember hearing some strange noise when I was driving. I only got a chance to use the bike rack once for carrying regular mountain bikes. It seemed sturdy. Maybe the rack was hit by a car and it bent in an unpredictable way before I even arrived at the store. I will give the company the benefit of the doubt. I contacted the company to see if I could get a replacement bar and they contacted me via email within a day and offered to replace the rack free of charge. When receive the new rack, I will give this product a proper review. (In the pictures, I reattached the bar to show kind of how I found it before pulling it the rest of the way off so it wouldn’t fall off while I was driving.) Originally, I gave a 1 star review because I didn’t know the company tried to contact me. I’m changing it to 5 until I can do a proper review. ... show more
