The nodule that holds onto the suction cup pops out if you are trying to straighten a hose. Or trying to replace one. The suction cup stays put but the back snaps right off when you try to put the hose in. They do snap back in at least and if you’re lucky you can get it to do that underwater. But I would say that’s not sturdy at all. Have to be careful and hope the fish don’t run into them especially large fish like I have. ... show more

The suction could be a bit better, but they don't seem to be coming off when installed under water (not great if put on before being submerged). The clips hold the tubing well—strong, but don't pinch closed. However, the clips come off of the cups too easily. So, if you have any animals that like to mess with stuff in your tank, they may come loose. A drop of super glue should solve that issue. I used these to secure the tubing to my bubblier. Lasted 2 days and I have to keep putting my hand in the tank to attach them back to the glass. Some are sticking, others are not. Very frustrating.

If you don't mind switching these out every month, then go ahead and get these. Since there are a lot of them in a package and they're relatively cheap, I'd probably get these again. Just know that they won't last long if you're looking for a long-term tube-management solution.

These great little clear suction cups are so handy for keeping thermometers, heaters, and aquarium furnishings such as wood in place in the tank. Heaters and themometers come with suction cups, but they wear out. These are an inexpensive and effective replacement, to keep all aquarium parts in place easily. They are only about the size of your thumbnail, and hold well. The little airine tubing clip is easily removed by unscrewing it from the silicon suction disk for other aquarium uses.
