Works great to do easy water changes on my 20 & 100 gallon. The only issue is the hose that comes with it is kinked beyond salvage so I had to purchase my own hose. Still holding up 6 months later for my 2 fresh water tanks.

Have a large fountain this was great for it, unfortunately last week it stopped working. I have to unplug plug back in then bang on the side for it to start pumping. Nothing was stuck inside to stop it it just works for a day then stops.

I got this pump to put in my decorative fountain, it's a woman holding a pitcher on her shoulder, and the water pours out of the pitcher. Our pump died, so we got this one. This pump is excellent. It has adjustable flow rates, which we use on the maximum, because we like to see the water pouring out. It came with an acceptable power cord, which made it easy to connect. The pump appears sturdy and well built. The only problem with this pump is the connection that it came with, which is a much larger hose/flexible tube than the connection in our fountain. Thankfully, our old pump had a connection that we could put on this new pump. Therefore, it was easy to connect the water hose from the pump to the fountain intake. It's really not a negative, because 3 adapters are provided, it's just that the adapters were all larger than what I needed. This is probably because my fountain is older (old). It was a minor problem. The pump is excellent. It's sturdy, rugged, and it works. It's a great pump. ... show more

This is a great little pump for small-to-medium size pumping jobs. I mainly use it for my watersports equipment (canoes, paddle-boat, 14' fishing boat, etc.). I'm usually stuck bailing out the water by myself every time it rains. As a senior citizen, I really got tired of bailing boats with a pan or bucket. When the paddle-boat fills, it's impossible for me to lift it (to empty it) by myself. I decided to order this lightweight pump that I can use instead of "bailing". It makes life so much easier. I'd estimate that it pumps about 8-10 gallons per minute (the say 800 gallons per hour but I think that's overstated). It works perfectly for the purposes that I had in mind. It also comes with a suction-cup attachment that ensures the pump stays stuck to the bottom while pumping. The pump would also be great for similar applications such as: draining a small or medium fish pond, emptying a fish tank, and as a circulating pump for an outdoor fish pond. ... show more
