I just put up this umbrella on my backyard deck this evening. The solar circle that goes on top of the umbrella easily snaps in place. The lights under the umbrella are pretty. I bought this umbrella to tilt into the westward sun late in the day. By the time I had installed it I could see if it was blocking the sun properly and it was. It is a nice large umbrella and the crank handle easily opens up the canopy. However the umbrella does twist a little bit in the wind given the size of the canopy. There is a gentle breeze blowing this evening with some gusts but not too bad. I wish the upper mechanism that holds the canopy in place didn’t spin in the wind. As it is it might be OK. I will update my review in the next day or two once I’ve had a chance to use the umbrella for a few days. Edit: I had to mount the back of the mounting bracket directly to a 4 x 4 upright on my deck because the spindle was too narrow and flexible and I was afraid it might break. When I unscrewed the wing nuts from the bolt I noticed rust. I was hoping the bolts would have been galvanized. I also noticed that when there is more than a slight breeze that the top canopy of this umbrella swivels somewhat. So far it hasn’t broken but it does swivel around the centerpoint by more than a few degrees in each direction. I appreciate that this umbrella is very lightweight so it makes tilting the umbrella up and down very easy. Edit 8-20-19 We had a few heavy gusts of wind blow through recently and I was not home to put the umbrella down. These were not storm level wins but more around 12 to 15 mph with gusts slightly higher. One of the supporting ribs detached from the umbrella center point. When the umbrella is fully open it looks like that rib is bent. I have to see if it’s easy to re-insert. If you live near a windy area I would suggest an alternative to this umbrella. Otherwise it’s been working fine and providing a nice shady spot. Edit: June 2020. The umbrella has been out for almost 2 months for the second summer now. The umbrella fabric now has several holes in it. It looks like it has failed in the direct sun.

Very disappointed in the quality. We had an umbrella for our patio furniture that was 5 yrs old and we only replaced it because the material looked so worn. We thought we’d try out a different shape (rectangle instead of round) and thought this was a good choice. We bought March 2020 but due to COVID we didn’t put it up since we weren’t having company. Finally put it out about 2 weeks ago and it already broke. And not just broke, the pole just bent over completely and the metal pieces broke off. Unfortunately since we bought it last year it isn’t under and warranty or anything. Don’t waste your money

This patio umbrella is both functional and beautiful. The LED lights are very nice at night and I love that they are solar powered and easily turn on and off with a switch. It came simply and nicely packaged in a rectangular box in two pieces. simply attach them until you hear a click then use the crank to open up your umbrella! I love the little red switch to control the lights. The umbrella is easy to open and close, offers a good amount of shade. The quality of this patio umbrella is good, it's feel solid and heavy, it's feel much heavier than my last patio umbrella. Loves the lighting and it's power by solar too so no need to run any long extension cord. Its made of update spun poly waterproof fabric, more breathable, 5 years on color, block up to 99% of harmful UV rays.The rectangular umbrella with 24 solar powered lights provide energy efficient lighting, enough light source, can last for 9-12 hours.It's easy to operates with crank lift handle for opening and closing with seconds. I just received this. I'm a bit shocked that it doesn't include a base for the price paid. First impression is not happy. The house cords was wrapped around one of the umbrella arms 4 times and would not open our of the box. The only way to resolve was to cut the cord unwrap it and attempt to retie it. As soon now it's holding after melting in near 100 degrees trying to tie the heavy cord tight enough to hold. It is pretty but another con is the pole seems very light weight, lighter than my cheap old one. I'm worried about it's like term durability and will update after more use. 3rd con os the hight! I'm 5' 2'' and with out it being in the middle of my table i cant even kind of reach it to push the tilt button. I'm not sure how even my hubby at 6 2 will reach it once it's in the middle of the table, so the tilt option is relatively useless. I'm going to try it for a week or so but am strongly considering returning and going to s local store so i can see what im purchasing. I'll try to update soon.

The patio umbrella was missing a crucial part, bottom pole. The company AOK provided several options. Full refund and keep umbrella which is option I chose. Thought I could order a bottom pole which would work with umbrella. Very satisfied with customer service. Another option was.. receive new umbrella with bottom pole and keep umbrella without bottom pole.

I like the unit, but it is cheaper on other web sites, but I found that out after I had already bought this unit so oh well. I will say the unit is sturdy and works great no issues with the crank or the lights, just note that putting the solar charger onto the top and connecting the ribbon cable is a bit of a challenge you will need someone with small hands or fingers as it is a tight fit.
