This brew kettle arrived with some cosmetic damage. I don't see it affecting the functionality of this product, but for a $170 brew kettle I expected it to arrive in better shape. There were two noticeable dents in the side/bottom and the rim had some rough machining and was not completely round.

    • Sturdy brew kettle
Great brew kettle! Very sturdy and with the thick, tri-clad bottom I will be able to use this on a high BTU burner without any issues. All of the fittings seat well and are air tight. I was initially a little worried about leaks from the kettle to ball valve connection port, but after just finger tightening the assembly I had no leaks and was able to start my boil. I would recommend the purchase of a heat deflector for the ball valve assembly just to protect it from long term heat exposure during the brew process. ... show more

    • Dimensions slightly off
The kettle height was 1/2 inch taller (without lid) than listed dimensions. Probably won’t matter for most people, but exact height was important for my cook space. Otherwise This seemed like a fantastic kettle.

Really sturdy pot. Jury still out on whether it is worth the money over a cheaper one, but it is indeed very nice
