Solved my vibrating washing problem!

I have had a problem with my washing machine for years. It is on the 2nd floor and it has a very deep pan underneath it. It is also too large to fit in the pan and requires some sort of platform. Five years ago (yes, five) I built a very heavy and very uneven wooden platform that I have fought with ever since. The washing machine would try to dance off the platform every two loads or so and I would have to heft the washing machine back on it. It also shook the entire house alarmingly during the spin cycle. Then I discovered washing machine anti-vibration devices. Could they work for me? I very much hoped so. I chose this one in particular because it was the only one I could get to raise my machine the full two inches and clear the pan. I was not easy getting the washing machine on these, but we finally did it and then ran a test cycle. We were rewarded with utter silence and stillness during the entire cycle, including the penultimate final spin that used to rock and vibrate both floors of the house. I am so happy I can't stop washing clothes. Truly, this is a wonderful fix for a very annoying problem.

No instructions. Hopefully I can see it on a video review. But thick material. I will add use details once use. This did not fit my washer at all. Plus it had it sitting really high and off balance.

Perfect height and the anti-vibe really works!
Size: 3.14 Inch Double Heighten
These give my washer and dryer just that little extra height that makes it so you don’t feel like you have to get on your hands and knees to load and empty. The anti-vibration feature really works, too. The whole house doesn’t rattle when I have a slightly unbalanced load now.

They kind of work, but not as well as I had hoped.

I can't really say that this worked as well as I had hoped. Some of the dryer vibration that you hear is gone, but it still exists. The little pedestals are decent quality, they just don't work quite as well as I had hoped they would.

These are very easy to place, even with a side-by-side washer and dryer arrangement. Have not had a problem with a “walking washer” since I’ve put them in place. Very affordable fix to a common problem!

A Materials Engineer's Teardown: These are Risers, Not Isolators

As a product designer and materials engineer, I've been testing several different washing machine pads to see if any of the budget options on the market can actually deliver on their promises. I swapped these square pads in under my washer, and unfortunately, the engineering here completely misses the mark. Visual Trickery vs. Material Reality When you look at the product photos, these pads appear to be thick blocks of shock-absorbing material. They are not. The vast majority of the "pad" is just a hollow, rigid grey plastic riser. The actual rubber component—the part that sits between the hard plastic and your floor—is less than 1/8" thick. Furthermore, it's made of a very hard, neoprene-style rubber. From a mechanical standpoint, the way the pad is designed to bear the load of a heavy washing machine doesn't allow for any actual flex or compliance in that thin rubber layer. If the material can't compress and flex, it cannot absorb kinetic energy. Fitment Flaws As a designer, the top cup of the pad also bothers me. It is designed to cup the feet of the washing machine to keep it from slipping off, but the recessed area is simply too small for a true "universal" fit. Many modern, heavy-duty washing machines have wider leveling feet that won't sit flush inside this recess. The A/B Performance Test I ran these through a spin cycle and then immediately swapped back to my standard "Silent Feet" anti-vibration pads (which are made of actual vibration-damping viscoelastic material) to do a direct A/B comparison. https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Walk-Silent-Feet-Anti-Vibration-Machine/dp/B00536VQE0 The difference is night and day. These square pads provided virtually zero vibration reduction; the shaking transferred right through the hard plastic into the floor. While the hard rubber on the bottom reduced the machine from "walking" a little bit, it didn't stop it entirely. Final Thoughts If you simply need a cheap plastic riser to lift your washing machine an inch and a half off the floor (perhaps for drainage clearance or cleaning), these will work. But as "anti-vibration" or "shock support" pads, they are a complete failure.
