My 4 yr old one was still decent too, gave it to a family member--It's a Beast: American Chop Suey, every soup under the sun, chili, pot roast (when not in Crock Pot), Irish Boiled dinner, pasta for a sports team, even stir fry for an Army. Ceramic inside would be better, but nobody else makes this fantastic sized pot. I mostly have stainless steel, hard-anodized--no inner coating cookware. LOVE this! Not too heavy, easy to clean. 2021: Purchased to test out this size. Thick pot, great quality. Easy to wipe clean. Hand dry and air dry. 2026: Our go to pot for pasta. My son uses this pot for his meal prepping. He makes a box of pasta in this pan. Not a fan of this glass lid, it allows steam and cloudiness inside the sealed seams. [That is a minus.] This pan/pot is great size for both sauces or pasta. We make decaffeinated tea using this pot. It fits the slim glass pitchers perfectly. Love this size. I own 28 pieces of Anolon and we seem to fight over this pot. My son uses several times a week to meal prep. I use this size for tea, and it has to cool in the pot for 2 hours. I am looking for a deal for a 2nd one. 2026 Update on 4.5-quart tapered sauce pan: The lid has some issues after 5 years. I bought a TOPULORS Universal Tempered Glass Lid Fits 8", 9", 9.5" Replacement, Grey. The replacement lid fits perfectly. I just bought a second 4.5-quart tapered sauce pan in moonstone.
