This tool is great once you figure out how to navigate menus. Good bidirectional controls available. Tested on 2016 ram 2500 (could not adjust tire pressure thresholds), 1997 gmc k3500 (had great data display for transmission diagnostics and injector cut offs). Problem at this time with the tool is that the "TPMS" menu is not available yet, the printer, oscilloscope, thermal imager, work light, bore scope are not available yet. So I don't know when the additional attachments and upgrades will be available, that's a big let down at the time of purchase. For the price compared to others it seems to still be on point with the initial product. If you don't need the extra attachments you may find the lesser models to have the same capability if the extras on the ds700 are not needed. I was ecstatic to see all transmission data for a 4l80e from a 1997 tuck. Graphs 12 pids at most on screen, records, and has freeze frame data. I really look forward in using the product and cant wait for their oscilloscope attachment to come through fingers crossed. You do not need 24/7 wifi for the product to work. No Info based subscriptions yet like the harbor freight models. Although I'm not worried about that for what I do at this time. You need to understand what CAN-BUS is to under stand Topology in its simplest form to navigate the tool or you will be baffled, a few youtube videos on the subject you should be fine if your automotive inclined.

I have 4 vehicles vehicles, a 2011 ford ranger, a 2018 honda sport civic, a 2007 VW New Beetle and a 2008 Jeep Wrangler, and not one of them are recognized by the scan tool. It's not hard to connect, and it's very simple to do so, but it just refused to recognize any of my cars, even though the connection from the ODB plug part appears to connect to the tablet part quite quickly. At first I thought that I was doing something wrong, but I it doesn't recognize any of my cars. I thought at first that I must have been doing "something" wrong, because while I have owned several really nice scan tools, I never had one this expensive, but I found several youtube videos and I am doing everything correct, it's just not working. (Update) I went to my neighbors house, he is a mechanic at a dealership near me, and asked him to check it out. He was initially quite impressed with the unit, until he actually tried to get it to work with his 2021 Ford F150, and it wouldn't recognize his vehicle. He then tried it on his wife's 2020 Ford Focus, and got the same results. His verdict was that it's "broken". I have sent an email to the seller, and I guess well have to see what they have to say. I had been contacted by the seller and they were very helpful in trying to find out the problem, even though I had already sent back the defective one. They sent me a replacement and as soon as I plugged it in I saw that the problem was obviously the adapter part the fits into the OBDII port in the car. The new one lit up, I didn't even know it had a light previously because it didn't do anything. It turns out that while I thought it was connecting, it apparently was not. What I was seeing was that the tablet part was connecting to my internet and was able to download the updates, but was never able to see my car, or apparently even see the adapter that I plugged into the car. The replacement one went from blue to green to blinking blue when it was connecting and transferring, whereas the original one never lit up at all. I was able to run a diagnostic scan. There are a lot of capabilities in it, and it will take me quite a while to test them all, but at least now it works, so I can do that.

I picked this thing up the other day do have at my shop for our smaller fleet vehicles. Does everything it claims to. Disappointed though that it accepts expandable modules and yet Ancel doesn't seem to offer them yet, if you click on Ancel Store, it says coming soon along with a few other things that are coming soon...When exactly is soon...
