Got this because I dumped my cable TV and the only unexpected issue was a total lack of a way to tell the time in my bedroom when waking up in the middle of the night. Didn't really bother me because I don't care, however without a clock to tell the time at a glance, like she could with a cable box, the wife kept trying to get up at 5 am. Which of course meant I would too. Not acceptable. Got this clock plugged it in where the cable box was, set it up in about 30 seconds and waited for the wife to notice. When she did, this turned into a very inexpensive way to show I still loved her...worth every cent. The numbers are a bit bigger than the cable box numbers so easy to see, but hardly any brighter. That made me happy because the time was easy for her to see, but the light was not bright enough to keep me awake. It's been working fine for almost a month, even tested the battery backup. It's all good. Highly recommend

The alarm clock works as advertised! Our previous alarm clock/radios had become way too difficult to set, as the newer models had eliminated most of the direct setting switches in favor of difficult to navigate menus. This alarm clock gets back to basics, with just a few switches and pushbuttons that are simple to understand. We find the alarm volume to be adequate. There is no dimmer for the display, but it isn’t too bright at night. It has a small switch controlled night light, and a snooze button (haven’t tried it). Overall, very satisfied with this product!

I just got this alarm clock today so I can’t speak for it’s durability, but my first impressions are good. I like the small overall size, and large easy to read numbers. Also attractive looking (looks better in person than it does in the pictures). It’s simple to operate (both to set the clock and the alarm), and has a nice nightlight feature built into the snooze button. I should mention the alarm is nice and loud. It seems to work well out of the box. Two negatives I’ve noticed...the face of the clock had some marks on it that mostly but not entirely wiped off (I don’t notice them now them unless I’m looking closely for them). I gave it four stars based on first impressions. I like it.

I usually use my phone as my alarm but sometimes my neighbors will play their TV just loud enough for me to hear a low mumble through the wall, think Charlie Brown's teacher in the Peanuts movies. Not really loud but just enough to hear something and be annoying. It probably wouldn't be that bad to most people but I am an admitted high maintenance sleeper. When the neighbors are watching TV as I'm trying to go to bed I turn my two sound machines up all the way and put in ear plugs and turn my fans on. Then it's kind of a crapshoot if I'll hear the alarm on my phone in the morning. I wanted a simple alarm clock that was loud enough to get through all of that. This does. In a big way. Never going to sleep through an alarm again. Does the job I wanted it to do exactly the way I wanted. I have a small bedside table but this fits perfectly on it. Great little size. Numbers are large though so I can even see them across the room. It is really bright though. But I sleep with a sleep mask anyway so that doesn't bother me. Again, high maintenance sleeper. So, if you need a loud, little alarm clock, this is the one.

Bought in Oct 2020. Great small size, easy to set up - plug in and set time (a simpleton can do it, as that's what I am when it comes to electronics). It's on the nightstand next to my bed and the light it gives off is perfect for me, not too bright, not too dim. I don't use the alarm feature so can't comment. Almost 1 year old and I'm happy. I've had a couple of power outages and resetting time was a breeze. What more do you want for a clock that's a little over $10? If it ever stopped working, I'd buy this clock again. I sometimes scroll through the ratings and comments on items I've purchased and was surprised I hadn't reviewed this item. When I saw some negative reviews, I felt I had to comment.

The display is clear and visible, the time is right on the money over time. The only thing that could use improvement is the link black buttons on an identical colored case making their visibility harder for folks.

It’s so inexpensive that the problems are easy to overlook, but there are problems. It’s so cheaply made and light that the weight of the cord can drag it off the dresser if not just make it unstable. The wires for the 9V battery are so short that it’s difficult to install the battery. The sound and loudness are inconsistent. I’ve had 3. The first was loud with a distinct sound. The second made almost no noise and was useless. The third was loud enough but not as loud as the first and sounded different. So it goes with $10 alarm clocks. All that said, it is a good and simple design for very little money. I wish they would sell a $40-$60 version. Bigger and better quality. As it is, it’s a good design that is poorly executed and inconsistent. It doesn’t need to be this cheap.
