The way they are made enable you to adjust your curtain all the way against the wall to keep light & heat out. I really am pleased with this. It's attractive and sturdy. I am not very good at things that involve tools, but I was able to do this successfully by myself. It used a drill with a 1/4 inch bit, which was four holes. Then you hammer four anchors into the hole. Put up the side pieces and screw the screws in. Then slide the curtains on and screw the rods into the side pieces. I would definitely get this again. ... show more

I was a little hesitant once I pulled the curtain rod out of the box because it was a bit skinnier than I thought it would be. The curtains I had were quite heavy.
