    • Well made, good suction, modern design, but small canister and poor button placement
I was excited to replace my 15 year old Dust Buster whose battery no longer holds a charge very well. This unit has a very sleek, modern design. It's easy to charge and has 3 little lights to let you know it's charging and the current battery level. The first thing you notice is that it's surprisingly heavy for its size. I wish it was lighter, but it's actually about the same weight as my old Dust Buster. There is an LED light on one end and a vacuum on the other. Unfortunately, the button placement is reversed (in my opinion). This is because if you hold it with the end you are using facing away from you, the button you want to press is right in front of your hand, but the button you actually need to press is covered by your hand. It's a minor issue, but can be annoying if you press the wrong button. Charging is easy with the included cord, but there is no wall charger included. The suction is good, about the same as my old Dust Buster, but the opening is small, about half the size of the Dust Buster. There are several areas where the Dust Buster's design is better. First, it's easier to hold with its narrow handle. Second, it has a wide, flat bottom design that is better at picking up stuff on a hard floor, which is what I primarily use it for. And third, the canister on the Dust Buster is about 3 times larger. The canister on the Amazon Basic unit is very small. It requires you to empty it every time, and for larger cleanups you may need to empty it in the middle of the cleanup. Emptying the canister is also a bit tricky. Removing it is easy, but getting it back on and in the right orientation can sometimes be a challenge. The unit comes well packaged in a mostly plain brown box. It comes with a cup-like stand, but it's narrow and doesn't come off just by lifting the vacuum. You have to physically remove it. It comes with a crevice tool, which I have not used yet, but should be good for cars and other tight spaces. Bottom line, this little vacuum works well and looks great. For people who want to keep their vacuum out, but want something that looks good on a desk or in a corner, this is the tool for you. However, the design is not as functional as some other units on the market and could use a little tweaking. I'm happy with it, but I probably wouldn't recommend it over other options for my needs. ... show more

    • Almost perfect
This handvac is solid. Just by picking it up, it seems to be well built. The suction power is amazing! And, it's a good value. It isn't perfect - hopefully a few tweaks will be done. There is nowhere to put the attachment. It would be perfect if the base had a spot for it, it's always difficult when appliances have attachments that are free range, I'm apt to forget what goes with what. The vacuum part is in the base, meaning you take it out of the base and that is where the vacuum part is, meaning you can't just leave the attachment attached. I am not sure what is up with the flashlight. If it helped highlight where you were vacuuming, I'd get that! I have vacuums/handvacs, I have flashlights, I never thought to combine them and probably wouldn't think of the handvac. I guess the upside is the light is rechargeable vs some of the flashlights but still, I probably would not remember to grab the handvac for light. Other than those, which are more annoyances than defects, it is a powerful little vacuum!!! ... show more

    • Great small handheld vacuum
These small handheld vacuums are super popular right now as influencers recommend them to dust out drawers and organizers while cleaning and decluttering. And, that is what I got mine for. At first I was confused where the actual vacuum was. I thought it was where the light was, but it is at the bottom. It probably is a good design because it allows you to hold the narrower portion of the vacuum, which is more comfortable. It already had a charge, but I charged it for a few hours before using it. It worked as expected. Just two design adjustment recommendations. First there is a light at the top - not where you vacuum. I don't get the point of doing that. It says it is for emergencies. I don't think I am going to reach for my handheld vacuum in those situations. I will probably forget it is on there because I will never use it. It would have been more beneficial to have the light shine where you are vacuuming - especially in dark corners of a drawer, cabinet or car. The second recommendation is to have a place to put the crevice tool. I would normally just keep it on since I will use this handheld with the tool a majority of the time. However, you can't do that because the vacuum portion goes in a cup when put away. It would be nice to have a compartment or latch to put that on. ... show more

    • Enough power for dust and dog hairs
Overall, I'm happy with this handheld small vacuum. It has enough power to pick up small dog hair, dust, and crumbs. It arrives in a simple cardboard box with a short USB C charging cable, a brush/crevice tool, and a stand. I found the included charging cord to be sufficient in length, but depending on where your outlets and places you have to put this vacuum, you may find it too short for your needs. It has little LED lights to let you know the charging progress, which is nice. Run time, according to the directions, is about 12 minutes. It is noisy enough that the dog wasn't happy, but much quieter than a regular vacuum. The "dust bin" is small and the emptying process could be improved. (But then the guy with the funny accent who thinks his vacuums are the greatest could improve his process as well). You must twist it open and remove the filter to empty the dustbin. Most of the hair you collect will be stuck on the filter. It does have markings on the outside of the unit to help put the cup back on correctly. The brush/crevice tool sticks in the front, making the unit gigantic. While it works, it gets a little hard to handle or get the angle you want occasionally. But it works. I got this to "dust", to get the dog hair that accumulates everywhere that the regular vacuum doesn't get it. I'm happy with it and would get it again. ... show more
