The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with my purchase! The pressure cooker comes with one 70 kpa weight which equals 10lbs. I suggest purchasing the separate 80 kpa for a 15 lb weight. I could not find a 60 kpa on Amazon and didn’t want to risk the All American 5, 10, 15 lb weight not fitting this pressure cooker. The weight of the pot is nice! I choose this unit over the T-fal which claimed induction capable because the reviews stated otherwise. This brand worked perfectly on my induction cooktop and quality is excellent! ... show more

This is a very popular and commonly used pressure canner, but when I began using this particular one, I could never get the pressure to go above 8 pounds. You need at least 11 pounds and sometimes 15 pounds in order to can properly. The unit had no leaks and seemed very stable and very secure so that might have meant that the pressure gauge was not functioning properly. Being that this was a brand-new piece of equipment, I did want to deal with troubleshooting this problem anymore so I sent it back for a refund. If you want a large pot, can't beat this one. Aluminum so it heats nice and evenly. It will only go up to 8lbs of pressure, so if you want higher need to order another pressure regulator that will regulate higher temperature. If you want to can, need to order trays too.
