The bike rack is easy install and works fine. Be careful when installing a bike on the inner rack, I recommend placing protection over the open metal edge where the pin is located to fold down for non use - unfortunately it scratched the paint on my Electra Beach Cruiser. I also need to order a replacement part due to the item (quick release handle) breaking when entering a steep driveway and cannot get support from anyone at the (Allen) manufacture's customer service options. ... show more

This is a great rack for the $. I fixed some of the wobble mentioned in other reviews by cutting an old bike inner tube into a 2x3 inch piece and inserted into the area where the two posts come together. This hack stopped all the hobble. It’s solid now.

It appears well made with little wobble, however I cannot remove insert from my hitch even after following directions of unscrewing knob and depressing spring loaded pin. I see that someone else had same problem. Customer service " Carla" wants me to "senda video" which I am unable to do. Video of what? I sent photos instead. Why can't I speak to someone about the issue? This is not good customer service. The insert sticking out is a hazard to pedestrians. I can't remove to return it. I do not recommend. ... show more

This bike carrier is very nice for bikes with the cross brace, typically considered men's bikes. For this type of bike, one can place the bike on the two strapped clamps within seconds. The challenge is to strap a women's bike on, that typically doesn't have the cross brace built into the bike. We have found it to be difficult to mount this type of bike on this bike carrier without two people. We could purchase a cross brace and mount it to the women's bike but that creates another step that we don't want to make. The bike rack seems to be very durable and easy to place in the trailer hitch receiver as well as to remove it when it is not in use. ... show more

It was hard to install-I had to keep it on all the time. The plastic straps started to get worn-looking. I backed out of a slightly steep driveway, adn now it is bent, adn I don't trust using it. This all happened within six months...I will not buy again.
