It’s a good choice for those looking for a silicone ice cube tray option! They come out about the size of a nickel. The only issue is the annoyance with filling it up because it will push the inner tub up unless you push it down enough to get the air out the bottom. I absolutely love this Ice Cube Mold Ice Tray. My only problem is that it provides a single use for me so I literally have to refill after every use but it makes great Ice cubes and fits perfectly in my freezer. Also, I think particles of the ice tray are being molded in the ice cubes which makes me wonder if it's really safe to use but other than that it's a decent buy. ... show more

I liked how this looked and seemed simple and convenient but it's not so straight forward. For starters, there's no line or marker anywhere indicating the amount of water to put in the main container (before slipping the center bucket in) so it's real easy to under or over fill it and have to adjust. You can either try to slip a thin stream down between the external and internal buckets but you risk running a drip into the ice. Once it's properly filled, you have to make sure to put the inner bucket in and press it all the way down to ensure a nice even seal around the bottom. A little easier said than done. Once that's done, you put the top on, which also doesn't seem to catch a nice seal very easily. Then pop it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Whether or not you have trouble filling it, having the bucket full of conveniently sized ice shards sounds good in theory, but you having the whole ice bucket out, you're exposing all that ice to the warmth outside your freezer which then causes all the ice to stick together later. I'll give it some stars for a couple of reasons: I love the size of the ice, I love the satisfaction of squeezing all the ice out of the crannies and due to the size of the ice pieces, they freeze rather quickly. This is an easy-to-use ice mold which is really convenient if you are a person like me who loves cold drinks but does not have an ice machine built into their fridge. Definitely worth buying but it has some minor flaws, the lid does not clip smoothly onto the base allowing for leakage. Also, once you pull the ice mold out of the freezer the middle piece which allows the ice to shape into a circular form gets stuck and you have to wait a minute for it to unfreeze a little bit before you can remove it. It works - just not well. It is difficult to aim water into the narrow space between the inner and outer cups. The inner cup floats to the top no matter the amount of water poured in. The lid does not snap or screw to the main silicone piece to hold it all together. I had to set a heavy frozen dinner on top of the lid in order to keep the lid from floating up on the inner cup. The ice came out in proper cube shapes and it was convenient to store for later in the cup. It was only a small amount of ice so I would not recommend this for families or parties. I'll be finding something heavy to place in the inner cup to keep it from floating - for now I've just filled the inner cup with water. ... show more

For the price this is fine. The lid doesn't snap on like you think it would, it sorta just sits on top. So when you put water in it to make the ice, because the lid doesn't snap on, the middle bucket just floats up. So you have to put something on top of the lid to hold it down until the water freezes. When trying to Remove the ice, the middle bucket is kinda hard to remove. For the price it's not terrible, but I am sure for a few bucks more you could find something better. The idea is cool though, saves space in freezer ... show more
