I love Kitchen Aid stuff. Always well made, sturdy and look good. I have many "larger" Kitchen Aid items, so when it came to getting smaller items for my excessive baking needs, I went with what I trusted. I'd already bought an awesome ice cream scooper from Walmart when I realized I needed a scooper that would work specifically for cookies and baking ( I bake A LOT)...Of course this was it. Stick with the best and you wont be disappointed. Well made, Sturdy, comfortable. Hubby teases me because I cannot stop complementing my new scoopers. Very cheaply made. Basically, it doesn't work well. The mechanism jams with stiff cookie dough and won't release the dough.. I have other scoops in other sizes which work smoothly and are more sturdy. They have a strong spring mechanism; the Kitchen Aid does not. Brand names just don't seem to be reliable any more. I will be replacing this item with something more sturdy. ... show more

It’s an ok cookie scoop. Tends to get stuck when you are trying to get cookie dough out. I would have thought it would be better quality being a Kitchen Aid product.
