First time I filled the form all the way to the top through the holes with a syringe and got cool looking sculls, but I’m the glass they would turn face down. Next time I filled only half way, and in a drink the faces are staying up. Boiling water for clear ice cubes is brilliant! Worth buying if you want to present a unique drink.

For the price, they are excellent, they work as advertised and they are fun. They do not make clear ice, but they don't claim that and those units cost much more and at the end of the day, it's just fun 🧊 ice

These are awesome, kids love them! Only complaint was that the don’t seal well so we had to trim off the flashing from the seams of the mold.

So the build is a little off. Holes in top don't allow for filling, sides are a little weak with no lines for where to fill to. But the finished product is amazing! Skulls look great! Larger than anticipated. Probably only for ice making, not sure I can do chocolate. I will try and respond if successful.

The ice cubes are OK. It's difficult if not impossible to get the trays to seal together so the water doesn't leak out so you have to be creative when you fill these up by using an external tray you set the mold into first. It works... Don't expect clear cubes however. Instructions are very minimal. I use this product and like it.

I originally bought a set of these (the human skull version) for a skull-obsessed friend as a gift, and she loved it. Then my spouse started trying different ice cube trays, and complained that most of them sucked or made cubes that were too small. I remembered the earlier gift, and got her this (she loves alien things!) as well as a set of the "human" skulls. They work really well, and the large cubes stick around in a drink far longer. So, not only are they cute, they're actually useful!

I just made my first set of alien ice cubes. Fun! They look cool! I see a lot of reviews that look like they are complaining about things wherein they did not read the instructions. They aren't as easy to make as filling a regular ice cube tray, but the end result is worth it to me. The holes on top are not intended for filling the product, unless you choose to enlarge them. You fill the bottom halfway full. You DO need to put a slightly weighted item on top to squeeze the top and bottom together for best results. And you do need to follow special instructions for clear cubes. But that has to do with water, not with the product itself. So read through people's comments and the instructions before buying. If you are willing to do just a tad extra, you will be rewarded with very cool looking and fun ice cubes.
