I use it for BBQ to separate grease from aujus. You get what you pay for, so this is cheap on price and quality isn't top notice...its plastic not stainless steel. This is my second one because the plastic broke at the base of the handle where it pulls the bottom open after a couple years. Be mindful this is plastic and not bang it around and it should last a while. Cleans fine on top rack in dishwasher.
