As others have said, the instructions SUCK BIG TIME and make installation much more difficult than they need to be. Read all directions first and do a dry run of assembly and installation. The instructions don’t help you anticipate and they leave out important details. It took us 2 days to assemble and install the 20’ x 10’ awning. Not sure of the quality yet. Seems to work good but the downward pitch is severe. Maybe I need to tighten some bolts. I’ll give a follow up review after some adjustments and use. ... show more

Liked the way motors automated the opening and closing, liked the color and the size was great to cover our table. But the unit was very unstable with even the slightest breeze. We eat outside nearly everyday in the summer and our normal 12’ umbrella handled the wind much better. The arm extensions were not as sturdy as we expected and it didn’t fold up nice and tight. When folded in the arms flopped down and looked messy. Took several hours to install, we really hoped to like it but in the end, we took it down (almost another 1/2 day) and returned. The company received the return 2 weeks ago and still no update about our refund. Disappointed. UPDATE: day after posting this review we did receive our refund. ... show more

My husband can't understand why so many reviews had trouble with the install. He managed with hardly looking at the instructions. We haven't had it up long to see if it rusts or how long the fabric lasts but it took him about 4 hours to assemble & install and would need a 2nd person to help lift it. We did notice one side is lower than the other by about 6" but I'm sure with a little troubleshooting we can fix that too. One other thing is the motor won't close it the last 2 feet & just closed it the last 2 feet manually but I'm sure that's an adjustment we haven't figured out yet too. Overall, even with these little things we haven't figured out YET, it seems great for the $650! ... show more

Item was perfectly packaged, the problems are much bigger than that. Items was scratched, bent and screw holes doesn’t match. Manual for installation and to assemble it’s terrible, not enough or close to none of the necessary information for a average person to do it(I am actually very handy), I was extremely stressful and tedious work, literally haven to guess every step of the way. ... show more

The color says ivory, but it is light yellow. Not beige, not ivory, not white. Yellow. If you have a beige house, it will clash. The color is really bad.

    • Prepare for Confusion

The instructions leave A LOT to be desired, as they are not customized to the exact model, and slight differences in design changes over the years made some of the instructions incorrect. Setting the extension and retraction stops does not work, even after watching an online video that provided different instructions than the included manual. The fabric at the front edge of the awning (not the valance) keeps shifting when the unit retracts, because the included end caps just pop off during movement. The awning suffered a tear immediately after installation--the result of an exposed bolt. The roller bar arrived dented, and the screw holes were misaligned. Save your money!!! ... show more
