Man, this is a really good deal. For $26 you get 4 sponge filters, airline tubing, accessories for the tubing (one-way valves, splitters, air stones, etc), and little media balls to put inside the sponges. Pretty awesome!

I love this sponge filter and the accessories that came with it! Excellent results in my 72 gallon tank. Air filters are great. Nice tubing. Did not use the other things but shared them with someone who uses them. Haven't heard any complaints. Will buy again.

    • no air stones so bubbles come out huge and noisy, but works well if noise is not a bother.

these will work like filters of this type. the only issue i have is that these do not use air stones so very noisy unless you control the airflow. but if the noise does not bother you then these work great. I also would not call these as large sponges. more like medium size.

    • Hole in Top of Filter Too Small

First time buying this. Over all I like the product. But the BIG complaint I have is the airline tubing that comes with the sponge. The tubbing is too big to fit through the hole in middle the of the screw on top. Wouldn't it be better to supply size tubing that fits the product ? Also, the tubing is not black as it is in the picture. It is white. Maybe need to include a longer adapter that will fit through the hole in the top and stick through enough to the bottom to attach the airline and air stone. EDIT... Needed to take a Philips screw driver the same size as the hole and turn it to hone out to fit 3/16 airline. Not a big deal. easy. After that it is perfect ! ... show more

I love sponge filters and these are very easy to use and clean. They get clogged up with gunk/algae here and there like any sponge filter but they are easy to take apart and clean, then reassemble.
