I had a ring light before, and when it broke, I bought this one. I was always annoyed that the ring light didn’t get as bright as I wanted, but this light I have to turn down because it is so bright. It can really make a difference and light up your area for a video conference or anything like that. It is not hollowed out on the inside like a ring light, but provides much better power. It has all the same features as other ring lights have - the different tones and brightness setting. I have it plugged into a USB hub and it remembers my settings each time (not sure if it would remember if I removed it from power though). I clipped it onto my monitor, it was a bit tight on that fit, but it worked. It came with a pad for the clip to protect what you clip it on to, but I needed to remove that in order for it to fit on the monitor, since my monitor is pretty thick.

Decent. It plugs into your computer or wall plug adapter, then either clips onto your computer/camera or stands up with its little tripod legs. The clip seems to work fine but is always kind of awkward on my computer, so I use the tripod legs, which are a little unstable but not bad. There are different light settings (you can control how warm the light looks and the brightness), but it would be nice if there were more brightness options. It also gets a little warm as soon as you turn it on, which is kind of concerning since they’re LED lights. Bottom line: it works. It’s not fancy but it works.

Video light is easy to assemble and mount to my computer screen. It is powered by my laptop USB port. The light has lots of options but I find it is too close to my face and even at the lowest bright setting there is too much shine on my face. I'm still looking at how to place it.

I've had a few ring lights now for the recordings I do for online classes, and this is my favorite. First, the assembly process went fast enough that I don't recall any of the specifics, which means that the workings of the device were very intuitive. I also like the fact that I can get a range of white/yellow light to give me the kind of illumination that I think looks best in the camera. It gives a few options, but not an excessive number like pink or blue illumination which I would never use in a professional setting. All of the colors that I cycle through are reasonable choices for delivering a math or physics lecture. Finally, I really like the clip on this light. It's got a strong and tacky enough grip that I'm able to clamp it to the monitor of my setup in order to have superior illumination, but only have the clip touching the plastic edge of the monitor. It doesn't obscure the screen, which is a distinct difference from many of cheapo ring lights I've used in the past. I hope to keep this one for a while.

After reconfiguring my den, I struggled with adding light that worked for video calls for work. The old lights were just not convenient to place around where my desk now sits. This light easily clips to my monitor and the inline control works great for controlling the light temperature and brightness. I can easily take it down and put in a drawer if I want/need to until I need it again, but it small enough so it is not a distraction if I leave it on the monitor.
