These little guys are pretty handy at helping with the smaller weeds that are difficult to get your fingers on, and pretty reliably pulls the root along with. It does struggle with medium-to-large weeds, however, and often tends to just slice the stem off if the root is too sturdy. Not a big deal if you take regular care of your weeding and usually just deal with the smaller ones, but I wouldn't recommend using this to start off with if you're already pretty overgrown. The media could not be loaded. At first, I was a bit suprised by the size and I imagined this to be larger than it actually is and somewhat dissapoiinted... until I started using it... it's actually perfect size to dig and uproot clumps of weeds with more precision than other weeding tools I have and really digs into the ground and allows you to easily remove the weeds, roots and all.     • Great option for weeds that have runners
My "lawn" is comprised of a lot of plants that spread by runners - wild strawberries, clover, etc. They often try to make it into my flower beds and managing them with standard V-fork weeders doesn't really work, nor does just trying to pull them out with my hands unless the ground is fairly wet. This style of weeder is new to me but I already know that it is going to be a welcome addition to my gardening kit. It's much easier to get underneath the runners and tug them out than the tools I've been using and it's small enough that you don't have to worry about accidentally picking up a plant you want to keep in the ground, as long as you pay attention. I would not intentially use this to dig into the ground but that's because I have heavy clay soil that literally bends solid shovels and trowels that are specifically designed for digging and I am not sure how it could hold up to that when nothing else does. I'd like these to last as long as possible and they seem to be well made so I expect that if I don't misuse them they will be part of my kit for many seasons. ... show more

    • Perfect for those prickly weeds
I got this weed puller and I’m very happy I did. I had got some prick proof gloves to get rid of the certain weed that we have in our yard and flowerbeds, when I grab it, it even poked through the prick pre-gloves, so I was really at a loss because these little things hurt. I found this tool and it actually works so well all you do is use the Fork of the tool to place under the weed and kind of pull up. It comes up with very little issues and problems and then you can just use your gloves to throw what ever weed into the trash. Very easy to use and it also washes off very easily if you want to wash it before placing it back in your garage. This came as a two pack, but I only use one at a time. But being a two pack is good for me. I have a front yard and a back yard. So I keep one of these in my garage out front, and one in the shed out back. I've been pulling weeds by hand, and most of the time I don't get the roots. So the weeds come back with a vengeance. Not to mention, I have to put forth a good amount of effort to pull the weeds by hand. The first time I tried this weed puller, I was impressed and smiling ear to ear. I was in shock that such a tool existed, and did such a good job at pulling weeds. Roots and all! And it didn't take much effort to use the tool. Our back yard has a lot of weeds so my wife decided to do something proactive about it. She got a bunch of weeding tools from here and tested them all out on our weeds in the back. Out of everything she tested, this pair of tools were the ones that worked the best, and most consistently. I got this weed puller because bending over just kills my back. I was hoping the extra reach would help. What I didn't expect was for this to work so well! This tool is a must for any gardener. The teeth are great for grabbing weeds the other side is good for cutting! Do be mindful this is a tool that can hurt you. It is a good idea to hang this tool up.
