I wanted a simple heat wrap for my neck, which I pulled recently. I don't always have a microwave available, so I started looking for an electric heat pad. Those I found on Amazon had reviews that suggested I might have trouble getting the heat where I wanted it... on my neck. Then I stumbled upon this product, which definitely delivers heat to my neck, and helps me to gently stretch and do neck rolls. Bonus is that the wrap/scarf is 100% portable! The heat it provides is great, actually too hot on high, so I can use it longer on medium and low settings. The material is quality and very soft. For ME, a secondary use will be using it during cold months when I'm outside... I never even thought a product like this existed, for keeping a person warm. Where has this been all my life? I had been using a thing that you warm up in the microwave but it did not stay warm for long. This product is amazing. It is easy to set up when you get it, and easy to use. It is very warm and stays warm for a long time. It does shut itself off but you an switch it back on again immediately. It is after a day of using it, perfect. I did charge the batteries for a few hours as per the written, PAPER manual (thank you thank you) and it charged nicely. I does seem it might need charging more frequently than I expected. That would be unfortunate. I had hoped to be able to use it for maybe four hours without needing to recharge. Thus four and not five stars. AN UPDATE: There is info in the manual that talks about battery duration and so what I have discovered is using the lowest setting works fine for me and that it runs for a number of hours. I suspect battery duration may be a concern for some people. I don't think you could count on it lasting for 5 or 6 hours on a low setting.... I frankly didn't really consider this when I bought it. But I believe I can make it work for me. ... show more

What a nice gift to give to someone. My wife is often cold and looks for ways to keep warm. The Akaso heated scarf is a nice way to keep warm on the couch at home, or maybe on the go somewhere. It was apparent upon receipt that this scarf was made nicely as they have taken great care in its packaging. It comes in a very nice gift box that displays their product very well. The scarf is made of a very soft fabric that won't “pill” or cause irritation and is sized nicely for an adult. There is a small zippered pouch at one end that holds a 5000mAh lithium power pack. The power pack comes with a short charging cable....no power plug charger is provided. Just use one of your phone charger plug-ins to charge it up. I used a normal phone charger to charge the power pack. The power pack has indicator lights on it to show you how much of a charge is on the pack. It also has 2 normal USB outlets on the pack for you to plug devices into. You can plug the scarf into one port and a phone in the other to recharge your phone! The scarf has an on/off button on the surface of it outside the place where the battery is inserted. You press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn the scarf heater on. Single presses after this will set the different temperature modes on the scarf. The button will glow a different color for each setting. The scarf only has the heated area in the middle section of the it and not all the way to the ends. Draping the scarf around your neck will make sure to heat the back part of your neck. The rest of the scarf provides nice insulation to keep you warm. I removed the scarf from my neck and draped it over the top of my leg to keep it warm. It is kind of like a small portable heating pad! Because it is so portable, I am hoping my wife will use it in our RV to keep warm while we travel. The scarf seems to have a safety of some sort in it as well. I left it on the highest setting while sitting on the couch. I noticed after a long use that the indicator light changed from the highest setting of “red” to the medium setting of “white”. The battery still had plenty of charge in it, but the scarf lowered its setting. I am guessing that this was to make sure that the scarf didn't overheat in any way. This is a quality item that I hope to get use from for years to come. I was provided this item by the company and asked to provide an honest review of it. ... show more

    • Actually Gets Hot!

So I first bought a much more expensive "heated" scarf from the Amazon mix (since returned) that bragged about "9 hours before recharging" - yeah, it might go for the 9 hours, but I couldn't feel any heat! This Akaso scarf heats up nicely and helps with my neck pain. Also, I experimented with the "Miady 2-Pack 5000mAh Mini Portable Charger, Power Pack with 5V 2.4A USB Output" cell phone batteries as backups, and they work fine! The only real difference is that with these batteries you have to unzip the scarf pouch and push the little button on the battery to turn it on/reset it before each new outing with the scarf. Enjoy your warm neck! Update: I still like this scarf, but the ROMOSS battery that came with it died after being recharged only 11 times! The aforementioned Miady batteries are still going strong, and I even ordered another pair of them. This scarf is nice, but for $39 the battery should last longer that 11 charges... ... show more

Heats up really nicely and the build and quality and the materials are good, and don't look or feel cheap. The battery feels a little on the heavy side and I didn't use this to walk around, but while sitting. But it got the job done nicely. I like that the heat is adjustable. I like that it has auto-off features. The battery doesn't last for more than a couple of sessions, so it does need to be frequently recharged like once a day or overnight. ... show more
