I had an induct scrubber that pretty much self destructed, so decided to rebuild it with parts i had from other projects and this pco cell. Cell fits the cutout fine, powers up off my frankensteined controller, and air quality is a lot better than before everything went the way of the dodo. No clue if the pco effect on this is real as it is a non-ozone producing model, so can only speak to the effectiveness of the uv source. The way mine is installed, it more or less bathes the strip heaters and evap coil in uv to stop things like black mold and slime molds from growing. Since adding this and rebuilding the system, indoor air quality has dramatically increased. So I would say the uv is doing it's job. The original system was set to run 24/7, which is probably one of the things that led to shortened bulb life and the controller dying.. I have this one set to turn on any time the fan turns on, whether it is heating/cooling/circulating. I will probably add a second one of these now that I know how easy it is to piece together a driver for it, but the next one will be in between the blower and coils instead of in between coils and duct supply side. that way i am getting some extra action on the blower blades and the other side of the coils. ... show more

Solid product in shielded metal enclosure. Strong uvc light can shine only 2 sides for safe us. Removable 4 pin bulb - can plug in a standard ballast . 10' LONG X 3" WIDE enclosure Bulb is about 9"x 1".... fully ventilated honey combed grill around bulb.
