I really like this air fryer and was able to get a great deal on Amazon with a provided coupon. It cleans easily and cooks great, the only problem I’m having is with the basket/handle. It is very hard to close the basket. You have to slam it really hard. I’ve read the manual and googled the product to see if I’m doing something wrong. If anyone else has this product let me know if it’s supposed to be that way. With that being said we really love this air fryer! ... show more

    • BEWARE: PowerXL does not have silicone feet as replacement items for some of their products!
I have 2 PowerXL 8qt air fryers, which we love to use as well as a Gourmia. Inevitably, one of the silicone "feet" on the fry basket broke off. I called in to PowerXL and the CSR could not find a silicone foot that matched my verbal description. He asked that I email Customer Service with photos of the part I needed. I followed through with that and Customer Service responded promptly....with bad news. "The bumpers are not available as a replacement item. You may replace the fry tray for your unit, however, the fry tray is not in stock currently." Wonderful. The silicone feet on my 8qt version are kind of rectangular (1.25" x 0.3") with 2 prongs sticking out of it to fit into the two holes on the basket. I guarantee that at some point the silicone feet on ANY fry basket will come off, break, or be lost. These items should definitely be available as replacement pieces. I guess this will be the last PowerXL product I ever buy! ... show more

I got this air fryer back in May 2021. I wanted ample time to get acquainted before reviewing. As a chef, I was skeptical that I even needed something to make cooking "easy". I didn't use it for several months after being gifted it. I guess I had some resentment. Once I put my ego aside and started using this, I was quickly hooked. It makes cooking so easy. And it is healthier than frying or sauteing in oil. And it cooks so fast. Most things I do are less than 10 minutes. I cannot say enough good things. I am still learning all the things it can do.
