  • Best Bass Ever
OUTSTANDING incredible sounding, superb Bass, long lasting battery, instant Bluetooth connection after pairing, phenomenal item!!!!!!

  • Beats everything I've tried as far as portable
Just got this. Tried the m90 and a few xking, jbl. This beats all of them. Very good bass, highs are clear but somewhat rolled off. Nothing EQ won't fix. Heafty. Hopefully the battery lasts at least half of the description says. Im an audio guy for a living. I collect vintage audio and fix, build. You will be happy with this, especially with the sale price. ... show more

  • Thoroughly used and abused and holds up
I run a commercial fishing skiff in Bristol Bay and I have dual hydraulic rollers on board so it is very loud at all times. I have this speaker on max volume bumping EDM, metal, etc for a few hours at a time and it holds up. It gets covered in salt water, fish slime, blood, etc every year. I get home and rise it off with the fresh hose, not being shy about it at all. The waterproofing is 100% i absolutely love these speakers and live by them, especially for the price. I used to buy their smaller and older version before this one and they also held up super well. A crewmember accidentally kicked in the front plate with his steel toed boots at one point and the thing just kept on bumping. I can’t swear by them enough for the price point especially. The sound, the button accessibility, the waterproofing, and durability are all amazing. However, all that said, I put 4 stars because the inconsistencies on reliability are a little frustrating as we fish in the middle of nowhere and I can't exactly send them back if they give out randomly. Which I've had 2 do to me. One of the older versions (which I has to cycle back in my oldest speaker to replace for the season) and one of the newer ones, like the one here. It only worked for one year and no longer will hold a charge, play, etc. I can get the little red light on but no other reaction. My other speaker like this one has worked flawlessly for years... its just a bit of a gamble. But in my opinion, at the end of the day, worth the gamble. Even if I just get one season out of it, its worth the 70 bucks its on ale for often, to me. ... show more

Fantastic bass. The treble is a little dull without eq. Still the best sounding boom box I've heard. Well built also

  • Three Years of Constant Torture and Still Runs Like New Three Years of Constant Torture and Still Runs Like New
Let me tell you, this is the absolute BEST little speaker!! It has sat outside, by the pool, for three solid years, now. For three years it has endured the harsh extremes of the Texas climate… it is exposed to chlorine 24/7; it has survived snow storms and blizzards, ice storms, hail, frigid temps, torrential rain, and the endless brutal Texas sun and heat. And for three years, it has continued to work flawlessly. The battery life is as great as the day we got it and it holds power when not used, nearly forever. The sound quality is great and its durability is absolutely unmatched. The plastic handle is fading from the sun and the metal speaker boxes have a tiny bit of rust from the years of constant chlorine exposure, but this little guy has never once failed us… not once. We actually have a smaller Bugani speaker that is six years old and the only reason we stopped using it is because be purchased this one which is larger. We keep it as a spare and I am confident if I went to the garage and charged the old one, it, too would fire right up and not skip a beat. Buy this brand. You won’t regret it!!! ... show more

  • Second one.
This is my second one. The first one I bought I left at our cabin and bought this one for home. I love it. it sounds good the charge lasts for hours and it's weather proof. Once you pair to your phone it automatically connects when you turn the speaker on.

  • Bugani fan, disappointed in this speaker
**Update: I did not notice any "break in" with the speaker. It still sounded stiff after about a dozen hours, so I returned it. Bugani reached out and offered to send me a new one, which I accepted because I wanted to see if I got a dud. Unfortunately, the new speaker had all the same issues as the old, so my original review still stands. I have added a star for their excellent customer service. Original review: I have the M83 and I used to have the M90 back when the brand was called "Photive." Photive/Bugani really pioneered the passive bass for Bluetooth speakers. The M83 was an improvement over the M90 and I was hoping the M118 would continue that trend. Unfortunately, after comparing the M83 and the M118 side by side for a few hours, this isn't the case. Yes the speaker is loud, but it is only marginally louder than the M83. The sound quality of the M118 is noticeably inferior to the M83. The sound out of the M118 is surprisingly tinny for such a large speaker with so much power behind it. I don't believe muffled is the right word, because the music is clear. But the sound stage is very narrow, the speaker seems to live in the mid to high range, with no lows to support it. Which is really strange to say because the M118 does have good bass. The passive subs absolutely help kick out deep bass, but they do nothing to help the speaker with any low notes that aren't a bass kick. The M83, on the other hand, has a much wider sound stage. Songs sound noticeably fuller on the M83 than they do on the M118. I also feel that the bass is better on the M83 as well. The M83 is much better at producing wubs and reverberating through the room. The M118's bass kicks, don't get me wrong, but it's almost as if it doesn't let the bass breathe, and thus much fewer wubs and less reverb. I wonder if this has to do with the location of the passive subs, which are on the back of the M83 (and M90) but are on the side of the M118. Subs are meant to backfire into walls, preferably corners, to allow the low frequency sound waves to reverb off the walls which helps you "feel" the bass. The M83 backfires, the M118 side fires in both directions. Keep in mind my testing was done indoors and maybe a dual side fired passive sub like the M118 has sounds better outdoors than a rear fire like the M83. I'm not going to return the M118 right away. I want to see if breaking in the speakers will help at all. If I had to describe the M118 in one word it'd be "stiff" which makes me think that this speaker could benefit from breaking in. However, there's a debate about whether breaking in speakers is a real phenomenon or if your ears merely get accostomed to the sound. Personally, I think it depends on the speaker/manufacturer. Thankfully I'll still have my M83 to compare it to in a month to see if it made a difference. I'll update this review then. ... show more
