Instructions were a little hard for my husband to figure out how to change code. I figured it out first try. Great little safe to keep things hidden from kids.

Imediately out of the box I knew that I had been duped! This "fireproof" safe is only fireproof because of it's metal skin. The control pad, knob, and even the receiving holes for the locking hubs are lined with plastic. There is no insulation or any way that the contents within the safe would be slowed from heating to a combustible temp - paper would burn inside the safe though the safe may not completely burn; electronics would melt & be destroyed; the control panel would be completely melted and the plastic cover of the key hole would probably mean that you would have to destroy the safe to open it after being exposed to fire. The feel of the control panel just left me with a strong sense of disappointment. It is so cheap I immediately returned it for a refund. If I could have given no stars I would have. Buyer beware. It would probably work to lock your kids electronics away from them during times of punishment but not for anything to keep safe during a fire.

Mounting holes in rear should be in the center (horizontal) not vertical. You can only line up one hole for the wall stud. This safe cannot be submerged in water if so it will fill with liquid (back wall only spot welded) door does not have a water tight seal.

The quality is a little bit cheesy but since it was on sale I feel like it was worth what I paid. The size is great and it’s nice it comes with a battery backup in can the code pad goes dead.

I am so glad I purchased this. I had been hiding my money around the house. Which always left me uneasy and paranoid. This helps protect my money and gives me peace of mind. It drilled really easy into my wall and floorboard. I have the keys hidden in my house and use the lock code to get in. It's the perfect size to hold a lot of cash, medicine, and jewelry.
