I would actually rate it 4.7 if you could do partial stars. That's mainly because of a few reasons: 1) It does run a bit darker than expected 2) It'd be great if it was Ammonia free but still this effective 3) It's a long wait for gray coverage. However, nothing man-made is ever perfect. I LOVE that they don't do animal testing. This is the best gray coverage I've ever experienced. It's fairly natural looking color, for the natural color options, with dimensions and shine. My hair has seemed much healthier since I've been using this product compared to years of other hair coloring products. While it does have the common hair color odor during application, it's not as intense as other products. By using the same few colors that blend well, a tube lasts a while since I can simply touch up the roots and or lighten up or darken slightly according to the seasons. Because it does run dark and my skin tone is not forgiving with many shades, I play around with mixing lighter shades with the darker end of my preferred range to get somewhere in-between which works for me. I recommend doing similar if you find that it runs darker than expected. Sometimes going a full shade higher is can be light.

I have been getting my hair done at a salon for over 15 years. I have medium brown hair and when my roots start to grow in, I have a decent amount of gray hairs. Normally every three to four weeks, I go to the salon for a root touch up. Well, the last time I went, I was just not happy with the way my hair looked. So, I tried to lighten my hair a little with a common brand of box dye. The results were terrible, none of the grays were covered and my roots were much lighter than the rest of my hair, it really looked horrible. I waited about 2 to 3 weeks and then purchased this AGEbeautiful dye and a 20 volume developer. I had very little hopes on how my hair would end up! I mixed everything up and did my roots first then the rest of my hair, I waited the amount of time per the instructions, and then rinsed everything out. I could not believe the results! It was AMAZING. My hair was all one color and ALL of grays were completely covered! Not only did it look great, it literally looks like I sat in the salon for hours, and my hair looks silky and vibrant! The color is beautiful. I plan to use this to touch up my roots going forward and skip the salon unless I need a haircut. Trust me, purchase this and the 20 volume, you will not be dissapointed, it is not cheap box dye, it is definitely salon grade formula and it was the best decision I made. I will be a customer for life!

If you're looking for a hair dye that will turn you into every Disney villain ever, look no further. I bought the golden blonde shade to tone my already blonde hair that had become brassy. Instead of turning me into a blonde garden fairy with "live laugh love" signs all over my house, the dye turned me into Kim Possible's arch nemesis and I can't stop imagining myself as the hooded Kermit the Frog on the "me to me" meme. My hair went from "couldn't add 1+1 blonde" to "she could solve the DaVinci Code brunette". I tried washing it several times to see if the dye would lift any, but it's here to stay unlike my dad. If you want a hair dye that will give you a full identity crisis and make you scream every time you walk past a mirror because you forgot what you look like, this is for you. 3/10 would definitely recommend to my bald friends.

Love this dye! I have medium to light brown hair and use 9NNV with 10 volume developer on my roots every 3 to 4 weeks to cover grays. It works perfectly and looks very natural. I tried many, many other dyes and even colors within this line and this shade works best for me to reduce brassy undertones.

I have been using this product for several years now. I used to use Redkin color, however, once I tried Age Beautiful, I was sold! The color is rich and vibrant and does not fade as quickly as Redkin does. With that said, I do have to color my hair (or at least touch it up) at least once a month as my gray is that prominent. So, as of the last few years, my hair really doesn't have a chance to fade like it used to when I colored it less frequently. The reason for the 4 star is how much this color has risen in price over the last 3 years. I used to be able to pick up a box for 7.99. While I understand everything has gone up in price, this product went up at least 50%.
