This system is superior in every way. From the one-piece sealed housing, to the massive air filter, rotomolded tube and premium hardware. Unique One-Piece Housing: The smooth one-piece sealed housing with auxiliary air scoop is used to eliminate the use of multiple-piece housings and ensure the coolest air intake charge available. A urethane plug is also included if you wish to completely seal the air box. Premium Hardware: Premium stainless steel T-bolt clamps are used to securely mount the high flow air filter to the 1-piece airbox. Momentum GT intakes are designed with fewer parts for a quick and simple installation. Proven Results: After a rigorous design and testing phase, the results are in. Sounds normal when cruising around or on the highway, but when you get on it you can hear the air box kicking in and the volume goes up. Not alot but you will hear it even with the stereo on. Bought it for my husbands 2014 Silverado High Country 6.2. He installed it in about 20 min and reused the two engine side quick disconnects off the oem intake. The plug is installed on top of the box for now. Looks cool better then the stock one! Great bargain too! (100 bucks off retail price) someone sent it back for some reason? Win for us! He’ll do a data log file with the Autocal and send it to Blackbear Performance to see if the tune needs to be adjusted or not? ... show more

Filter came quick. Install was pretty intuitive, but it’s good to know that the stock airbox attaches in three locations that pop in. Give the box a good pull and it’ll come out. The system sounds great. Much throatier than stock

This intake was easy to install and it gave my somewhat sluggish 2014 silverado 6.2 liter a more aggressive engine note under hard acceleration... It's more responsive when you get on the gas pedal... Very pleased with the product... My only complaint is that you would have to take it half way off to access the filter in order to clean it... Aside from that its a great addition to my truck... ... show more

Install was ok , required loosening of two fender braces. Was not happy with air filter . Air filter came with loose particles of glue on it, almost like flakes of dried rtv gasket maker. Glad I noticed these before they sucked into throttle body.

I though it would be good like the k&n model. This works fine but during acceleration and lifting off the pedal it sounds like a helicopter. I was hoping for a pronounced growl coming from the 5.3L motor instead there's this stupid bubbly helicopter sound which makes me want to show it in the trash. I did not find any difference in hp,tq, or fuel milage. Do buy this one. Spend the extra and get the metal tube one or a k&n system better. ... show more
