I needed a filing cabinet for my office and I liked that this one came with glass cabinets for extra storage for books and things. It’s pretty sturdy (not sure why people mentioned it wasn’t) and I did not attach it to the wall but if I had young children, I might. I found it pretty easy to put together by myself. I did have to stabilize the doors with a small paper wedge to screw in the hinges, so I would recommend two people for that part. Overall for the price, I definitely would recommend it. (Side note - I did check and count all parts before I started because some mentioned missing parts and I have experienced that before with other items so I learned my lesson on doing the work before checking!     • Not very sturdy when putting together

Once put together its sturdy. Was easy enough to put together but while assembling a few of the board pieces broke off where the nail was supposed to go with nothing done wrong on my part. So I had to get wood glue to fix it. I had contacted the seller and it took almost 3 days to get back to me. At that point the wood glue set and i had already given up on it. The outer appearance was not affected by the screw parts breaking off. Other than that it is currently holding 40 plus 2 pound snow globes. it shakes sometimes when cats jump up on it but it does its job well. Definitely should have the wood better for that price though. ... show more

Absolutely terrible quality, I don't know what item the reviewers who say the quality is good received, but it wasn't the same one I got. The pieces are so flimsy I can't even call them particleboard - pressed cardboard maybe. I could see how nails and screws wouldn't catch, but would go right through the edges and sides. In addition, the "metal" feet are made of a very thin sheet of rolled aluminum; I could bend them with my hands. I thought I was getting an IKEA grade piece of furniture, but it's way worse than that. We packed this up immediately to return it, but of course, that can't be a good quality interaction either. The seller won't pay for the return for quality issues. Because this item is so heavy, the return cost for shipping is astronomical. Buyer beware, and buy something else that the seller will stand behind. If you can't return something, DON'T BUY IT. ... show more

I've been looking for something like this for a long time because I'm sick of pet fur getting all over my books. The item was well packaged and secure, all parts were present and the instructions were so easy to follow. I'm a 32yo (F) and put it together by myself in about three hours.
