You can wash it with soap and water, rinse it until it is all dry up and use it again. We recommend you to check every 5,000 miles to see if it needs to be wash / clean. Silicone is a premium rubber which seals better and lasts longer. The air filter, couplers and tube seals in our intake kits are made from our premium silicone rubber. This means they won't crack, has exceptional tear strength, and can handle temperatures as high as 400F. Also, with a high friction surface and no oily residue, our silicone filters and couplers won’t slide off the tube. MOOSUN air intakes are very easy to install on your car or truck. A typical air intake installation can be done with a screwdriver, pliers and a ratchet-set in 90 minutes or less! MOOSUN specifically engineers their intake kits to use existing factory holes and mounting points, making installation simple. The vast majority of MOOSUN cold air induction systems do not require any cutting or drilling. Step 1 - Make sure your engine is cool to the touch. Step 2 - Disconnect your battery cable from the negative terminal. Step 3 - Remove your old air intake. Step 4 - Attach the silicone coupling that came with the air intake kit to the throttle body. Step 5 - Secure the coupling by tightening a hose clamp at the end. Step 6 - Place another hose clamp on the front of the coupling, but don’t tighten it just yet. Step 7 - Slide the intake tube into the silicone coupling, and ensure that your intake pipe is running from the throttle bay away from the engine bay. Step 8 - Tighten the silicone coupling and secure all brackets on the tube. Step 9 - Plug the mass air flow sensor into the new cold air intake system. Step 10 - Reconnect the battery.Enjoy the new power boosts immediately!

The MAF will fit perfectly on the filter with 0 modification, there is too much clearance for it to fit onto the aluminum 4-inch tube correctly so I took some Flex seal tape from Lowes, and cut 3 3/4-inch strips and wrapped it around the small end of the MAF to take up the necessary space and it tightened up fabulously, work like it's supposed to given the price point, what you have to know is the small end is between 3.5 and 4.0 inches so it's hard to find something in between that will fit, the tape works great and will never come off. I highly recommend this for the DIY guy who is trying to save some money. ... show more

So the pictures are 1: everything laid out and accounted for, 2: before picture of the old stock air intake, and 3: post installation of the new cold air intake from MooSun. So talk about a smooth installation. The hardest trouble I had was unplugging the stubborn stock electrical air sensor from the stock air intake. However, a YouTube video solved that. I love YouTube. Anyway. I am not skilled at automotive modifications, not at all. But with the included step-by-step guide, this was like building with Legos. Some of the parts I didn't understand the name to but using common sense and "Hey look! it fits!" made this an easy upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Don''t spend $100 plus bucks on a filter from a name brand company. MooSun has got you covered on the cold air intake front. This is one upgrade that you can cheap out on and still get a great product. So after the upgrade, which took me about 2 hours, I took my Tahoe out for a spin and it's now got a really cool "sucking" sound when I rev the engine. I think it performs better too, but I don't have a Dyno HP measuring scale. Bottomline, this product is easy to install, the parts are well made and quality, and everything was included. Well actually, I had to use 3 of the 5 old air intake screws (as instructed in the instructions) and one of the old hose clamps. I might have used a hose clamp where it wasn't necessary, but hey, my Tahoe runs great, and that's what matters. Thank you very much for giving me a great product for a VERY good price MooSun. I WILL look for your products on future upgrades. ... show more

Looks good and sounds good. Fairly easy to figur out the assembly and install if your mechanic minded the instructions are pretty much a bad photo copy of a bad copy pretty much blurry and unreadable and pictures that may be of the locness monster but after doing these things on other vehicles it was pretty easy to figur out.seems to be made well and filter looks to be of good quality .installed on my 03 Chevy Tahoe z71 ... show more

Pretty simple install, took about 45 minutes and that was me being very meticulous about the placement. Like everyone said the bracket that attaches to the air filter box is way off, but once everything is mounted up it’s snug and won’t move at all. I’m really happy with CAI so far. Only thing I did different was keep the bottom plate in below the air filter. I live in south Florida so I don’t want sand or water getting into my intake. The stock filter also would not fit. I couldn’t even get it into the air filter area. Lucky for me though I had already ordered a k&n 4” filter so everything is all good. Looks really trick underneath my hood and I can definitely feel better throttle response and a bit more get up and go. Buy this you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

It looks really good and it puts out a nice sound to my engine I totally recommend it I saw some reviews saying that the hose clamps were not working properly but I had no issues with them at all

    • Not bad for price
It looks good after being installed. However, the quality of some of the parts is not great. I wish the hose clamps were better quality. They got the job done but they're not great. Also when I went to install the new filter box, it required some "persuasion" because the holes did not quite line up. Also, the instructions were not great. The pictures were almost useless due to the low quality printing. The work instructions were ok until like step 7. It then felt like whoever was writing the instructions got tired of typing and it basically said, just put the rest of it together. I'd give it 3.5 stars if that was an option, because for the price it's not bad. ... show more

Gave me 2004 Tahoe z71 5.3 better acceleration.. nothing crazy but noticeable. Also a more throaty sounds when hard accelerating. I thought this stuff was made outta plastic.. nope.. metal which was surprising. Very good quality and "ease" of install. Why did I put "ease" because the instructions were of poor image quality and direction.. but if you have half a brain you know how it's supposed to go.. which was easy. Only suggestion is clearer image quality for the instructions. It's like a 240p black and white grainy image. Other than that I'd take this any day over a k&n version for the Tahoe. Almost the same thing but $300 cheaper. "Oh but if it breaks" it's mostly metal and I can replace it 5 times for the price of 1 k&n... lol ... show more
