So this is what it looks like in my hair, right after I finished dying and drying, and then after 2 washes. (Sorry there’s a filter on the one photo but it doesn’t really change the color that much). I used about 1.5 bottles for all of my hair. I will be honest and say it does fade kinda quickly, however the color it is now is exactly the color I was initially wanting and so I personally love how it looks! This product is really easy to apply for sure. Some dyes I’ve used for whatever reason just do not want to actually spread and massage through my hair, however I do not have that problem at all with adore. I do have some issues with it not taking to all of my hair, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s actually because of the dye or just because my hair wasn’t the same tone all the way through and wasn’t light enough in some spots for this color. I have used one of the other colors, i don’t remember exactly which one but it was a dark blue, on a friend who had dirty blonde/very light brown hair and it had never been bleached, and the dye still took pretty perfectly to all of her hair. This brand is my absolute go to any time I’m dying my hair and I would 10/10 recommend to anyone dying their hair. Update: the fourth photo is my hair a month and a half later w zero maintenance. Photo: bleached blonde hair (level 10) with adore pewinkle + adore fiesta fuchsia(mixed with some other semi permanent dye) ombré. Picture taken after multiple washes so it’s faded significantly. Review: Periwinkle is a very pretty light blue purple shade once laid out on your hair. In the bottle it comes out looking straight violet purple, don’t be alarmed. I swatched on a tissue paper into the color and the deposit due is much more blue. The formula is runny, which is honestly easier to use than the conditioner consistency of arctic fox. Additionally you don’t need as much because it spreads better. I’ve tried artic fox periwinkle shade multiple times, and it typically took two applications for an even dye. The adore version seems to be more pigmented and not patchy on the first application. It’s a light color, so with every wash it significantly fades but that’s to be expected. My hair is not thick at all. It’s not super long either. The dye is runny, which is okay. I thought it would make it stretch further. It definitely didn’t. I only had enough to do my roots and part of my mids. I tried working the product down but one bottle just wouldn’t cover it all. My hair was previously pink and it faded to light pink, so I just left the ends to do kind of and ombré effect. After rinsing, (with cool water & not even using shampoo) and drying. I noticed it was SO patchy. I know it wasn’t my fault because I saturated my roots and there were parts where I could see the brush lines, but it’s like the color didn’t stick. My roots were even freshly bleached. I guess I’ll be doing the walk of shame into Sally’s tomorrow to find something in a similar color to fix it. Check the hair dye color before dying your hair!! I love this periwinkle 197 color, I’ve been using it for 2 years straight and the color is really pigmented. Recently I started getting bottles that were apparently blue inside and thought it was a formula change- No! This is sapphire blue! It will dye your hair bright blue! The original periwinkle dye is a dark opaque purple color that turns a beautiful bluish purple periwinkle color. I just ordered another bottle and it’s back to the original purple. I’ve so far received 3 bottles of the incorrect hair dye in the wrong labeled bottle. Love the product but quality control is slipping. ... show more

I wanted to dye my ends a pastel ombre, so I used periwinkle and lavender by the same brand on my hair. I didn't mix any conditioner with the formula, as it came out very dark. But after about 3 washes, it faded to a nice lavender & periwinkle ombre. I love it! And disclaimer, this dye won't pop up unless you have at least a level 8 or 9 blonde on your hair. ... show more

1st off this stuff is great. Vegan. Doesn't smell bad. Goes on perfect. Doesn't leave a residue after. Like some other color products. Like where even after you wash it it leaves color where you laid. My only issue is that it washes out more quickly than I like. I don't wash my hair every day. Some every other or every 2 days. This color lasts me around 4 to 5 weeks. But other than that. Great product ... show more

My daughter and I used this product in two different colors. Followed the instructions (on dry hair) and used hair dryer heat with a shower cap for at least 15min before rinsing. Did not shampoo or condition after rinse, rinsed until water was clear. I don't wash my hair as much as my daughter, so my periwinkle color has faded after two washes but is still visible (I have old highlights that it seems to be clinging to). My daughter probably washed her hair three times before the clover green was totally out and no traces were left on her naturally blonde hair. We will try again since it came with two bottles. Cute for a very temporary color application and good price point for that. Periwinkle: Appears like a blueish gray in direct bright sunlight. Indoor lighting matches the bottle expectations. I loved it either way. I applied this to my whole head and covered my natural brown hair and it really only pulled to where my old blonde highlights were.
