Photo: bleached blonde hair (level 10) with adore pewinkle + adore fiesta fuchsia(mixed with some other semi permanent dye) ombré. Picture taken after multiple washes so it’s faded significantly. Review: Periwinkle is a very pretty light blue purple shade once laid out on your hair. In the bottle it comes out looking straight violet purple, don’t be alarmed. I swatched on a tissue paper into the color and the deposit due is much more blue. The formula is runny, which is honestly easier to use than the conditioner consistency of arctic fox. Additionally you don’t need as much because it spreads better. I’ve tried artic fox periwinkle shade multiple times, and it typically took two applications for an even dye. The adore version seems to be more pigmented and not patchy on the first application. It’s a light color, so with every wash it significantly fades but that’s to be expected. I have been struggling to get this color in my hair for years now. I've tried Lunar Tides, Manic Panic, Arctic Fox, Splat, all with no luck until now. Adore-- I ADORE you. I dyed my hair this shade hair over a faded pinkish purple by Splat, and it gave me this gorgeous shade of purple. I wasnt expecting full on periwinkle due to the lack of bleaching beforehand but I love how this came out so much even with the hints of pink coming through. I followed directions, used a plastic cap, and heated for 15 min before rinsing and it came out quickly and easily as well unlike other thick dyes. Check the hair dye color before dying your hair!! I love this periwinkle 197 color, I’ve been using it for 2 years straight and the color is really pigmented. Recently I started getting bottles that were apparently blue inside and thought it was a formula change- No! This is sapphire blue! It will dye your hair bright blue! The original periwinkle dye is a dark opaque purple color that turns a beautiful bluish purple periwinkle color. I just ordered another bottle and it’s back to the original purple. I’ve so far received 3 bottles of the incorrect hair dye in the wrong labeled bottle. Love the product but quality control is slipping. ... show more

So this is what it looks like in my hair, right after I finished dying and drying, and then after 2 washes. (Sorry there’s a filter on the one photo but it doesn’t really change the color that much). I used about 1.5 bottles for all of my hair. I will be honest and say it does fade kinda quickly, however the color it is now is exactly the color I was initially wanting and so I personally love how it looks! This product is really easy to apply for sure. Some dyes I’ve used for whatever reason just do not want to actually spread and massage through my hair, however I do not have that problem at all with adore. I do have some issues with it not taking to all of my hair, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s actually because of the dye or just because my hair wasn’t the same tone all the way through and wasn’t light enough in some spots for this color. I have used one of the other colors, i don’t remember exactly which one but it was a dark blue, on a friend who had dirty blonde/very light brown hair and it had never been bleached, and the dye still took pretty perfectly to all of her hair. This brand is my absolute go to any time I’m dying my hair and I would 10/10 recommend to anyone dying their hair. Update: the fourth photo is my hair a month and a half later w zero maintenance. On very light, platinum and toned hair, Periwinkle comes out so pretty, but it does have a very grey tint. On very light hair it will fade to a light greyish silvery color, but I would steer clear for anything darker than a level 8 blonde unless you are okay with it being a bit sea foam green. On my hair it came out a very cool dark greyish blue. Adore dyes are very watery and are in my opinion best applied when mixed with conditioner for a better texture and easier appplication. It faded relatively quickly. I dyed it about a month ago and it is entirely out of my hair now. For reference I try to avoid using stripping products or sulfates on my hair too frequently, I use toning conditioners, and have been dying my hair regularly for 6 years. The color leaves really quickly and you can see it go down the drain the first wash. Thankfully. For platinum blondes it fades very gracefully and is super cost effective. Be sure to buy 2 bottles for longer hair or spread it out with conditioners or hair masks. ... show more

I love this brand because i can achieve any look i want. I can layer colors, mix colors ,they fade well.last for months if you use cold water.whats not to love. They don't have a harsh smell. Affordable! Easy to work with by hand or tools. I personally like to put it in a nozzle tip bottle & brush it on. Also you can do water colors or pastel. Is that not awesome.& Lil tip i learned. Put it on clean dry hair. It holds that pigment perfect just like what comes out the bottle.even for damaged hair.
