Description

Improved Data Integrity With support for LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) error correcting code technology, the SU760 can detect and fix errors to ensure data integrity and thus enjoy an extended lifespan. Resilient, Shockproof, Quiet With no mechanical components, SSDs are more resilient than HDDs. They are more resistant to shock, vibration (1500G/0.5ms) and a wide range of temperatures (0°C-70°C), therefore providing better protection for your data. What’s more, SSDs also run silently and consume less power. • Warranty is completely useless
Capacity: 240 GB Style: 2D NAND
3 years from the date of MANUFACTURE not from the date of purchase. I had 4 240GB and a 120GB that failed within a short time of each other. Three of the 4 240GBs were purchased on the same date -- ALL FAILED HARDCORE -- but since I submitted the RMA shortly after their MANUFACTURE date and before the date of purchase, they wouldn't help. The last 240GB was purchased the month before. The 120GB? Meh. But seriously, 4 drives, all up and DIED within a couple weeks of each other, and the manufacturer was essentially like 'Lol ur dryvs are not our problem!'. 3 Year warranty my ass. I will never deal with Adata again. Nor Silicon Power. To the support person that *MIGHT* respond to this, don't bother. I smashed the crap out of them with a hammer and cremated the remains. ... show more

  • Waste Of 52 Dollars
Capacity: 512GB Style: 3D NAND
What A Unreliable Piece Of Junk! I bought this ADATA SU760 [512-GB] Drive in October of 2019; And It was Completely Dead On December 6, 2019! This has to be the worst Solid State Drive that I have ever installed - - - - - - - And I've installed alot of them. I installed this into a Dell Inspiron 3847 Tower PC sometime in early November and it was totally dead a month later. I've had it with this company; I also had one of my ADATA 32-Gig Flash Drives die on me last year, and I lost everything that was on it. No Way am I going to trust them with my valuable data. AS of this week I started using the "Hynix Gold" SSD's. So I pay a few bucks more for a superior Drive - - - - It's worth it. Luckily I had a complete backup of this Loser drive.. ... show more

  • There is a different model SU800
Capacity: 1TB Style: 3D NAND
I bought this model because of TLC, not QLC chip used, which should provide better performance and longevity. After I bought it, I noticed there is another model SU800 by ADATA, which is a tiny bit faster and with a bit more storage capacity than SU760, personally with the minimum increase in cost; it should be a better deal. I installed this into my HP laptop to replace a hybrid Seagate drive, the Seagate drive has its flash buffer, it performs OK, but once you are into more intensive I/O application, it runs out of steam. The installation is painless, and I use Windows 10 disk image creation utility and boot to the SU760. I followed by restoring the image from a USB storage device which attached to the laptop through the USB port; it went without any hiccup, the system was back to running status in less than an hour. I will report back if anything else happens after a more extensive use period. 5-20-2020 The drive died and sent back for RMA. ... show more

  • Drive Died after 6 months
Capacity: 480 GB Style: 2D NAND
I bought this in January 2017, It died June 2017. I have submitted my RMA to Adata. This is the only SSD I have purchased that has failed. Very disappointed. This was a drive I put in a laptop for a friend and I can't believe it only lasted 6 months. Typically I buy Samsung EVO drives, I will continue to purchase those drives. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for.
Capacity: 960 GB Style: 2D NAND
Ok, I'm upping my score. I got a bad read-sector on one ADATA drive I got last year. Got another one a couple months ago and it's been perfect, w/ 500MB+ read/write rates every time. Rates on other one were the same, but some benchmarks dipped under 500MB (oh no! </sarcasm>) I've now had TWO OCZ (one Radeon 7) and another Toshiba brand. One Toshiba has failed (it was DOA essentially, kept cutting off every 10-20 seconds), the other Radeon 7 OCZ before Toshiba bought them died to the point the OS wouldn't boot. And my Adata didn't fail totally, it had a sector or two fail, which happened to be holding system files, but I RMA'ed and they gave me the same drive back (I had marked the sectors bad, so after I did that and reformatted, it didn't reproduce, so I think they just gave me my old drive back (had a distinct scuff mark that was there when I sent it in which was still there), which I didn't really appreciate. If a sector fails, I want a new drive, even if it's just one or two. Fast turn-around and I think they paid the shipping - I work in IT so it's hard to keep track of everything - and I'm getting older and my memories not as good as it was ;) I also have a Samsung Evo 850 1TB. This drive is just as fast as both of them. Solid 450-500MB read/write rates. Get this before it sells out and don't believe the 3d hype, this 2d holds up, minus ~50mb/sec or so - which isn't even consistent, it sometimes benches just as fast as the Evo 850. Don't waste the extra 100 dollars, though I will say, it's the only brand, along w/ Kingston, that has never failed on me. Great drive over all. ... show more

  • Excellent drive for fast boots and program launches. Not for file hoarders.
Capacity: 240 GB Style: 2D NAND
This is a great drive for specific needs. If you want your computer to boot much faster than with a HDD this if for you. If you want better battery life on your mobile pc this is for you. If you want sustained high speed writes this is not for you. This drive uses the cheaper slower type of flash memory and a small pool of faster high speed flash. When you start copying files, it copies it to the small pool of fast memory and slowly offloads it to the slower memory. This works well for small files, but for big files, it fills up quickly and the speed drops. For this reason I recommend this drive to people who just want their computer to be snappier than it was before and arent planning on copying large amounts of files daily. ... show more
