This thing is great!! bought 2, one for each side of my pool. I live in Florida and houses are pretty close. Bushes were taking too long but i will keep these as well even after they grew. Now i have way more privacy at the pool/hot tub! Easy to install and very solid when using the correct anchors. I bought all my own anchors. I made it where i can just unbolt the main center piece and take it completely off if need be. Blue anchor screws for the disk that are pretty flat. ... show more

    • Good product at a great price!
First of all, great product at a good price. We now have privacy on the back porch! Well packed (you could drop it from the Space Station), good instructions (with one exception) and it works great! 3 things the vendor should do: 1. The phillips head screws require a #3 bit and still strip out unless you apply SERIOUS down force. If they were star screws, they wouldn't strip. 2. The "10 feet" measurement is non-specific, meaning from where to where? The removable side does NOT fit the same way as the fixed side, so from nearest-bolt-hole to nearest-bolt-hole we went 10 feet (after checking the fit) and all is well. 3. You need a template to get the hole measurement and then pilot hole positions correct. There's a couple of things you should do - in wood or Trex, be sure to hit a beam dead-center, drill your holes as deep as the screw (if your porch is solid), or you'll strip the phillips before you get it tight or if you miss the beam, yank the post out of the deck. I can't speak about concrete. Use a #3 phillips bit and a 1/4 inch ratchet with serious down force to tighten. ... show more

I love our new Abba Patio privacy screen! My husband said it was very easy to assemble. I watched. 🤗 He set it up in less than 30 minutes, which included the time it took to unpackage everything from the box, arrange the items, and read the instructions. It was packaged very well. Every piece was secured and in its own container. It came with all the screws and hardware needed to install it onto our deck. The instructions were easy to understand with lots of diagrams. It is so easy to use too. Just pull the handle from the main screen housing into the slotted groove at the secondary and whalah! Instant privacy. I am enjoying my deck now more than ever! We did not have any of the hardware problems that others mentioned for the installation. No, I did not receive this product to write my review. I am just an honest broker willing to share my own opinion in hopes that I can help other consumers find an item they can enjoy too. Seen also in my pictures is our Abba Patio umbrella with auto-tilt. I love the turquoise. The beige screen and the turquoise go well together with my patio cushions. My approach to install was to purchase (3) pieces of plywood 24 inch x 24 and (3) heavy duty pavers 20 inch x 20. I used a caulk gun and a tube of Gorilla glue and bonded the board and paver together. Next I drilled the holes for the awning and steel poles and again using the Gorilla glue with the bolts. The system works great I can move and adjust the awning bases. When winter rains come I will elevate the bases board to avoid water ... show more

This review is for the Abba Patio Retractable Double Folding Screen Fence Privacy Divider with Steel Pole, 5.2'H, Beige The screen is really well made and heavy duty. When it arrives and you un box it, you can see why it costs more than the lesser quality ones offered here. I purchased one, and then another one when it came up as a lightning deal. The install is not a big of a pain as I thought it would be. Be sure and get some screws to replace the ones that come with it, as those are Philips heads that strip instantly just like other reviewers have noted. I am able to reel them out to ten feet, but my installs are just a tad less. They are not see through at all, and also they cut down on wind. ... show more

Somewhat disappointed. Although it arrived promptly, well packaged, in good condition and ,overall 'as pictured'... the directions were abysmal. including whether or not to utilize the circular bases. The 'you tube' videos and consumer comments regarding installation problems were very helpful; so finally got it assembled and installed on wood deck securely. The fabric is not flimsy and is opaque; but it is not as sturdy as canvas. The most disappointing feature however, is that the fabric panels, when extended and placed into holder, are about 1 inch uneven in height; and worse, the fabric seams face in opposite directions; meaning, one panel is 'right side out' the other panel is 'wrong side out'. Upon further inspection, indeed one extended panel is 'upside down and backward' compared to the other extended panel. The panels came pre-installed into the center post; so this appears to be a manufacturing defect an/or failure of QA at the factory. This privacy screen serves the purpose; but I will take it down after 'season' and replace it next year w/ a different screen. ... show more

    • Great screen - buy steel screws/bolts to avoid installation disaster !!
Screen itself is beautiful and works well -But the screws it comes with to bolt it down were aluminum and stripped as soon as you attempted to fasten them down - I had to go to Home Depot immediately to purchase more screws/bolts made of steel to put up the screen !
