    • Perfect balance between old-style hoses and expandable hoses; pleasure to work with; weathers well
The hoses of yesteryear are a relic. These are so much easier to store, carry around, untangle, and work with. You've probably also seen those expanding hoses that elongate when you turn the water on. Those are also convenient, but expandable hoses tend to weather very poorly when left out and the connections fail easily. Stainless steel hoses are the perfect balance between the two. They aren't cumbersome like old hoses and they also handle the sun much better, being a great option for a hose that you want to leave outside as its regular position. Yup, it works and is more convenient than traditional "rubber" hose. Lighter and easier to handle than my old "rubber" hose. Does not kink, it is easy to unwind and "deloop" during the use, very easy to roll on a hanger or just into a small bundle to take it back into garage. The only problem and rating reduction is that this hose came dirty. The oily machine dust was all over it. It took two wet shop wipes to make it not to soil whatever it touches. The wipes and my hands were stained black at first. I have ordered two same type hoses from other seller in the past and they were clean. ... show more

    • I've got hose in different areas.. of my house
I've been on a mission to replace the "expanding" hoses across my property with metal clad hoses since they all started to die from various causes. This hose is replacing an expanding hose with an aluminum fitting that ceased in place and is going to have to be cut off. The brass connectors don't do that so bad, and they hold up better to being removed with a wrench when they're stuck, the aluminum rounded right off. The metal cladding appears to be a thin stainless covering as advertised. I like that it's heavier than the expanding hose because it sits in a resin pot that blows over easily in the wind. The extra weight of the stainless steel keeps the pot from blowing over in the daily afternoon wind. The included rubber gaskets work well. The teflon leaves a little to be desired but isn't actually necessary if both ends have gaskets. ... show more

    • Moving to strictly stainless steel hoses now
These don't tangle at all and are relatively thin so the pressure is great. The only thing to be careful about is they get a bit warm in the sun, and if there's water in the hose it WILL be hot. But those are minor issues compared to the benefits for me

I ordered this hose to use in my garden and it has made my life so much easier! It’s a large improvement over using a rubber hose because it doesn’t kink, it doesn’t decay super quickly in the sun, and it’s super lightweight and easy to maneuver. The only downside I can think of is that it doesn’t have a very strong flow rate because of the inner diameter of the hose, but it works great for hand watering with a typical spray nozzle! ... show more

    • Light weight, easy to pull around.
Seems like a very sturdy hose. The flow is steady and firm, no kinks so far. It easily attached to the faucet and the nozzle. It was well packages and even came with 4 spare rubber rings. Plus it even had a small roll of teflon tape, never seen that before with a hose! Overall, very happy with this.

Machined brass fittings, good strain relief collars, feels strong if bent sharply. My minor one star gripe is about the brass fittings: they don't offer much grip area...which leads to frustration if you're trying to tighten a leaking joint, and/or if you're trying to loosen a joint that has "seized up" since the last season...or was it two seasons ago... May need pliers. One end only has a 1/8" grip area. Would buy again, unless I could find similar price/quality with better grips. ... show more
