Let’s just start this off with the machine does work as intended…… BUT!!!!! Instructions are a little tough to navigate. I’m very mechanically inclined, and it took me several hours to figure out the assembly. With first time use, It was a slight learning curve, you cannot turn to sharp with whatever you are using to tow it. I had a few times that bent when I used it on my lawn, bummed about that. Will update review after customer support team reaches back out to me about replacement spikes. **Update** Customer service was phenomenal. They were extremely quick and responsive to my issues and concerns and offered to send out whatever they needed to resolve my issue. It is hard to find good customer service these days, so for that alone, I’m willing to give this 5 stars.

I am impressed with the ease of use, and effectiveness of the attachment. It does a great job at aerating the lawn, dropping plugs equivalent to what I have seen with commercial equipment. Good choice for residential lawn care. The lack of reasonable assembly instructions are the reason for only 4 stars. I had to partially dissemble and correct something after I was almost done.

This product got a three star review because of the difficulty putting it together. I have an engineering brain and an and an excellent at following directions, but unfortunately the directions were terrible and the video was a two hour process squished to three minutes… I did get it put together and was able to use it, but the wheels don’t touch the ground like they’re supposed to so I had to purchase bigger wheels. Aside from that, it works as expected.

It took about 2.5 hours to put together. Very heavy duty parts and frame. Instructions are not the best, but if you have some basic assembly skills you will be OK. It worked well when running it through yard.

This is a piece of junk. It took nearly three days to put it together only to have it not working as expected. I was missing a wheel bolt which I still have not received a replacement. The item looks sharp but looks are not the objective. The instructions were very hard to follow and do not match the pictures. I would really like to send it back, but who wants to pack up eighty pounds of metal and take apart all the nuts and bolts.

As everyone else has said the instructions aren’t the best but if your semi mechanically inclined you’ll be fine. The steel seams strong and sturdy but my axle the holes aren’t drilled at the same angle in both sides so one tire hits the ground before the other and when the wheels are on the ground it’s angled to one side. Also I’ve torn it apart and switched the wheels and axles in about 5 different configurations and can’t seem to get the wheels facing the back(away from the vehicle your towing it with) like how it’s supposed to be instead of towards the front so I’m not sure if they drilled the holes at the wrong angle on the axle.

Seems sturdy and I think it’s well built. Unfortunately, I’m missing a plug spike bolt and 3 nylon lock nuts so I have to go to a local hardware store and get them. The instructions are just a guide because they’re all over the place….just had to use some common sense. I’m happy with the aerator, but not happy I can’t finish putting it together because of missing pieces. Update: finally put it together. Problem 1: The holes on the tray for the bolts to secure the tow bar and tow support don’t line up properly. This creates a problem because the engagement handle gets blocked by both. My solution: hammer and screwdriver to slightly bend the tow bar under the tray. Also, this misalignment causes the handle to really press against tray. It’s a beast to engage the plug spikes. Problem 2: when the plugs are engaged, the wheel don’t raise high enough out of the way to get adequate penetration in the ground. At most, they get a .5 to .75 inch in. My solution: I don’t know yet. I think I’m going to find a quick way to remove the wheels when I need to aerate the ground. Anyways, the material is strong and sturdy. Just know there’s going to be a lot of hassle thanks to the instructions. A lot of manipulation, taking apart, and adjusting when putting it together. It’s not straightforward by any means.
