Sturdy and durable. I had about 200 lbs of stone on it and it held great. Needed to upgrade the Bungie cords it came with. They’re very weak and not made for the weight needed for proper aeration in compacted soil. A bit of a hassle to put together if you don’t have a power tool capable of handling nuts and bolts quickly.

Seems sturdy and I think it’s well built. Unfortunately, I’m missing a plug spike bolt and 3 nylon lock nuts so I have to go to a local hardware store and get them. The instructions are just a guide because they’re all over the place….just had to use some common sense. I’m happy with the aerator, but not happy I can’t finish putting it together because of missing pieces. Update: finally put it together. Problem 1: The holes on the tray for the bolts to secure the tow bar and tow support don’t line up properly. This creates a problem because the engagement handle gets blocked by both. My solution: hammer and screwdriver to slightly bend the tow bar under the tray. Also, this misalignment causes the handle to really press against tray. It’s a beast to engage the plug spikes. Problem 2: when the plugs are engaged, the wheel don’t raise high enough out of the way to get adequate penetration in the ground. At most, they get a .5 to .75 inch in. My solution: I don’t know yet. I think I’m going to find a quick way to remove the wheels when I need to aerate the ground. Anyways, the material is strong and sturdy. Just know there’s going to be a lot of hassle thanks to the instructions. A lot of manipulation, taking apart, and adjusting when putting it together. It’s not straightforward by any means.

Product came well packaged and all parts well labeled. It’s takes a bit to put together because it’s a good amount of parts. Instructions were ok, but you really need to think ahead and pay attention to some details that the instructions were misleading or just not clear. As an example, the instructions would have you putting the tines on the same side as the welds, this would cause the tines to not sit flush. Seems obvious, yes. Construction of the unit is very good, thick metal and the power coat looks good. All parts were present. The welds look odd to me, but time will tell if they are durable. Already used to prep yard for overseeding, covering two acres with three passes without issue.

Doesn't even look like the pictures, can't get the wheels to sit further back, taken it apart several times. Powder coating was already chipped off when recieved. Bolts don't fit into holes. Had to hammer them in and stripped threads. The list goes on and on. Good luck

While I will agree with some others that the quality is fairly good for the price, if you require missing parts like I did you are out of luck. The other reason for a three star is that the linkage for the wheels down/up is very sloopy with too much play and even without weight on it the wheels barely support the unit from the spoons hitting and digging in. I would return it but I spent three hours plus putting it together and trying to create a missing part on my own. REVISED REVIEW: I have to give the seller credit for sending me the missing part after seeing my post! I was unable to know who the seller was and the item comes from China. An extra star for the seller who, on their own reached out to solve the problem. That’s good customer service. I just wish that the sellers contact info was included in the packaging of the product.

Let’s just start this off with the machine does work as intended…… BUT!!!!! Instructions are a little tough to navigate. I’m very mechanically inclined, and it took me several hours to figure out the assembly. With first time use, It was a slight learning curve, you cannot turn to sharp with whatever you are using to tow it. I had a few times that bent when I used it on my lawn, bummed about that. Will update review after customer support team reaches back out to me about replacement spikes. **Update** Customer service was phenomenal. They were extremely quick and responsive to my issues and concerns and offered to send out whatever they needed to resolve my issue. It is hard to find good customer service these days, so for that alone, I’m willing to give this 5 stars.

Dude, I mean come the hell on, the instructions were wrong on some pages having me refer to company install video, it helped some but there were holes that were the wrong size when placing the bolts to install wheels, had to beat the hell out of it with a sledgehammer. The wheels didnt line up, were off by a few inches so I had to beat the arms with sledgehammer until they lined up. Do yourself a favor and only use some of the illustrations in the manual, the short video on amazon at product page is waaay more helpful. In closing the aerator does ok, if IKEA made an aerator this is it so do yourself a favor and avoid like the plague unless you want to shave years off your life getting pissed off at this model. I gave it 2 stars because at least it works but boss man needs to smack some folk around at the manufacturing facility and learn how to accurately have all pieces fit and not have to force the customer to beat it like it owes em money, just my 2 cents.
