We used an Edison build in it and there is a perfect amount of light when we need to use the overhead. The media could not be loaded. We ordered this fan to replace our old boob lights and wanted something remote controlled so we didn’t have to wire it to a switch. The fan itself is great, with a sleek design and excellent airflow that really cools the room. However, installation was a challenge due to poorly written instructions. Fortunately, I have experience installing fans and managed to figure it out. Overall, a solid fan. Just built a new home and needed 3 fans for the bedrooms. Runs very quietly! Not sure why they offer 6 fan speeds because there is plenty of air flow on the lowest setting. Nice looking fan. Works great. The only thing I would change is to have a dimmer for the lights. I ended up combining to brighter Edison bulbs with two dimmer Edison bulbs, and it’s not too obvious, and it’s the right amount light for a bedroom.

Purchased two of these fans to replace really old, dying fans on my outdoor patio. As they say, you definitely get what you pay for, but I didn’t want to spend any more than what I did, so I wasn’t terribly surprised at the “imported” quality. The written instructions are good for nothing but scratch paper: they give you some visuals, but don’t well tie the part label to the part so the first fan was definitely a learning experience. They do offer a QR code for a video on the installation and that was a helpful add-on. Nothing holds the assembled unit sturdily to the ceiling bracket’s housing so it’s impossible to get the fan steady and without wobble (even with the provided balancing kit). These fans are supposed to be controlled by an available app, which was attractive to me because I wanted them to operate together and not have to use the two provided remote controls. However, after a 15 minute Bluetooth pairing experience, I still couldn’t get the fan or it’s light to operate via the app, so I do get to use two separate remote controls. If you want a fan for a guest bedroom or relatively insignificant space in your house, this is a pretty good choice. If you’re looking for high-quality fan that does what it advertises, this ain’t it. ... show more
