Worked great out of the box. Works for both Tesla (with adapter) and non-Tesla electric cars. When used with NEMA14 outlet, this charger has nearly the charging performance as a Tesla wall charger! Worth the price ($169) I paid!

For the price it’s worth it and it is 2 in 1 charger for Tesla and Non-Tesla. The plug and adapter looks high quality and cord is long and durable. It is overall good and high quality.

I like these, so I bought 3 of them. It is nice that you can set the current limit based on the outlet you plug into. I run 16 amp at home, and 40 amp when using the RV outlet in the mountains. It isn't as fast as DC, but will allow me to charge from 120 and 240 outlets, from 6 amps to 40. Nice.

I paired this with a SplitVolt unit that allows use of an existing 240 volt dryer circuit at a maximum of 24 amps. The KingVoltix unit remembers the amperage you last used so you don't need to reset it each time you charge your car.
