I purchased this product because I needed to get the big metal snap ring looking thing off that goes around the rubber gasket on my LG direct drive wash machine. I read online there was a few ways you could remove it also with the use of a wrench and zip ties but I didn’t wanna bother with that I purchased this product used it and then returned it because I had no other use for it after I fixed my wash machine perhaps if I was a handyman these would definitely be something to keep in my tool bag. **Overall, it’s a great tool specifically what it is it was designed to do it does. The best price I saw for this tool. Somehow, the outer spring came off the washer door gasket and my arm strength apparently is not enough to spread the spring. This tool worked flawlessly, and the gasket is seated properly on our washing machine. After several WTFs we splurged on 13.80 and not more curse words. Thank you! Great tool!

Taking the tub seal spring off can be a pain. I did rig a homemade spring removal tool. But I decided to purchase this specialty tool to make removal easy. I can load it to people. Check out my repair by searching drb diy kitchenaid dishwasher repair. Fun project. Saved a lot of money by doing this myself.

This is amazing product that works but because it keeps loosing grip of the spring, it makes job little tough thus returned it. Not sure if cuts that are meant to hold the spring should be angled to keep it in place for better design.
