After waiting one week to uncap the sprouts, the basil was incredible promising with many little sprouts. I was so excited. The parsley and cilantro were a little slower to start and never sprouted as much as the basil, but there were quite a few that did grow to be about 3-4 inches tall. I couldn’t believe how well this system was working! Then slowly everything became riddled with mold, I reached out to the company and they said the mold is good for fighting off bacteria?? I was hoping to get a replacement at this price. Well I believe them and continued to try to make the herbs thrive. It was only downhill from there. Each sprout slowly died, the basil was completely wiped out. My poor cilantro and parsley tried holding out with a few stems remaining. This system will simply never yield herbs. I used liquid plant food, switched water every week and had ample sunlight. This is a very expensive science experiment that is bound to fail. Look elsewhere if you hope to actually use herbs like I did.

Great system for a beginner or someone with little space. Easy to set up and fun to watch sprout. The basil and mint sprouted in the first week. The cilantro did not sprout due to white, fluffy mold around the seeds on arrival.

Lavender has only one sprout after three weeks and the sprout hasn’t grown at all. Basil and Rosemary seem to be growing a bit better. These appear to be micro plants that won’t grow to be harvested and edible. I did get a replacement set of plants from the company and hopefully these will grow better and will be full size, edible plants. I have purchased from another company in the past and if this new replacement set doesn’t grow, I won’t purchase again.

Absolutely love these hydroponic plants. Will order more. I have had these 2 months and they are so easy to care for. I use a plant food when I add water. I've trimmed them several times and dry out on a cookie sheet in the oven that was heated to 225 then shut off then store in a jar. There have been way less lady bug beetles and stink bugs in the house! The picture is missing parsley, she is in the guest room. Starting these led me growing some romaine lettuce in that little bowl in just plant food water!

These all took off and started growing great but definitely not intended to keep inside. The stems are so flimsy they’re just bending and dying off. The only one that is continuing to grow correctly is the basil

I really wanted to love this but I gave it as a gift and when I finally got to see it...it was horrible! Almost $50 wasted! The tops got mold. Cute idea with the mason jars but the herbs grewabout 3 inches before they died :( Very disappointed! I gave it a 2 star for being giftable because it did look nice on the window sill for a bit.
