Great J1772 Charger for My tesla Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have owned EVSE cables for 5 years now. Therefore, I am very familiar with them and how they function. Pros: 1. The flexibility of having both 110 volt and 220 volt options, It comes with adaptor for 110 & 220 volt I mainly use the charger in my garage with 120v. At 12 amps, it adds about 6-8 miles per hour. PLENTY for most days. 2. Built-in screen shows voltage, current, and power in real time 3. Adjustable amps and timer function (I set it to start at 10PM to save on electricity) 4. The cable is long, so I can park outside the garage and still use the socket on the garage wall. so far so good, if anything changes, will update this review Highly recommend for anyone with a J1772 EV looking for a dependable home charger

Using for my chevy volt 2012. I have a full battery every morning. Charge speed is good for a 110v. A lot thicker wire than my last charger. Feels well built.

So many different charging options. I am happy it has a regular outlet plug. Means I can use it when visiting relatives or other people who don’t have an electric vehicle or an appropriate plug for the portable charger. The charging head is perfect and meant for my vehicle.

The media could not be loaded. Works in 2 ways: - can be as level 1 charger (110V 12A = ~1.3kW) if plugged into 5-15 (household 3 prone), or - level 1.5 (240V 15A = ~3.6kW) if 6-20 (3 prone with one vertical blade turned horizontally) This is better than some other chargers I’ve seen before where it’s stuck at level 1 even when using NEMA 6-20 Cable is UL certified and long enough to support mobile charging, screen displays clear charging info, power delivery is consistent. You’ll have peace of mind with this product. A nice carrying case also came with the shipping, so no need to hassle with the cables or whatsoever - just tuck them into the bag and you’re ready to go Delay start is also featured with this charger if you are using it at home and want to catch the off-peak electricity price.

Point blank, this is a fantastic deal for less than $175 bucks. There are no complicated apps that need access to my photos and address book...for some reason. Just 2 simple buttons to control the when and how for this delightful little charger. It has a nice size display that tells you all the pertinent information, such as charge time and rate, and it is super easy to mount on the wall and get up and running. Literally just mount the bracket on the wall, drop the charger in it, plug it into the wall, and then plug it into your vehicle. Pow, you're off to the races. The 32A charge rate is excellent at this price point, you can find faster chargers (40A or more), but the price will go up. This represents an excellent "bang for the buck", and if you're looking for an alternative to a dealer-installed charger, this will save you thousands. It does come with a carry / storage bag, which is pretty nice, but kind of unnecessary as the primary use for this charger in most situations will be as a permanently installed charger on the garage wall. If you want a 'travel charger', I recommend looking for one that will work on both 120V as well as 240V for flexibility. Overall, I really like this charger. It's made very well, works flawlessly, and gets the job done without asking for permission to access my address book. And saves a ton of money to boot. Highly recommended, 5 stars.

I purchased a BMW X5 50e recently and needed a faster charger. This has worked perfectly. I have a 3 prong 220 V welder prong in my garage so I bought an adapter. The car on its 110V charger would take around 24 hours to charge. This one charges the car in around 5 hours. So a much better charging speed. It only charges at 16 amp, the vehicle can charge at 32 amp but I dont see the need to charge any quicker. Overall the interface on the charger looks good and is easy to change the settings. I havent had any issues with the charger, for the price its a great deal. I may install a built in charger eventually but this will hold me over for a while. 5 stars.

This is a great, versatile charger. Offering both 110 and 220 volt use makes this easy to use whatever the set up in your house, and on the go, and you can see the charging in real time, which lets you predict and calculate the charging rate and electricity. Then you can set the timer to cheaper off hours or when you need it. Especially if you rent electrical cars sometimes and need to return them with their rough charge, knowing what to expect is invaluable. This is also great for running your own cars, as predictability is the best for daily use. The charger and plug are both very solid, and work great, without overheating. The cable is thick, and long enough for easy use without parking your car in a very specific spot. There's more complicated models that pair with apps, etc. but this one offers simple, but reliable, great performance, so for both level 1 and 2 charging needs, this seems like a solid choice, and better than the price. It also comes with a thick canvas bag for storage and transport.

This charger is capable of being your everyday use home charger - which is how I am using. I have found the charging rate and thermals to be in line with other similar chargers I have used. This is lightweight, but I don't think the build quality is any worse off for the lower weight. It may not hold up to being thrown around, but I have it mounted to the wall. Overall, considering the price it was listed at when I placed my order, this charger is a good value for the money.
