    • Good effort, but flawed
Portable battery jump-starters are a dime a dozen these days. Likewise battery power banks that provide both DC and AC output. Weirdly, as of now, there are very few power banks that provide both AC power and the ability to jump start a dead car battery. This is one of the few... but it's got a serious flaw. I purchased it specifically because it has an AC outlet. (Plus DC, "cigarette lighter jack," USB power ports... and jumper cables.) Versatile! When I got it, I unpacked it and charged it using the included wall-plug "quick charger." (It charges via a USB-C port, which adds to the versatility. You can charge it up fast or slow, and from the wall or in your car.) I tried the USB output to charge a tablet - check. I plugged in the "cigarette lighter socket" - it's external - and tested it. It worked. 12VDC - just as expected. Coincidentally, my 12v motorcycle had a dead battery - this thing provided power to get it started. Then I turned on the AC jack. (There's a second button to turn on the AC.) Using my multimeter, I checked the voltage... it was around 95. WAY short of 115-120, that I expected. I contacted Amazon, and to their credit, they overnighted me a replacement. I charged up the replacement and checked the AC. It's sitting at 99.9 volts. Still short of the mark. I tried a light bulb - it works. I tried an electric drill that needs 4 amps... no go. (According to the documentation, the AC port will provide 100 watts max, so not enough for the drill. I again turned on the 40-watt incandescent light bulb... in about 7 minutes of it being on, it used about 7% of the reserve, so I'd expect it to last for about 100 minutes.) If you have AC equipment that won't get damaged by 100-volt power instead of 120... and is less than 100 watts... this thing might work. The DC seems to be fine. The first one I got arrived with a nice little zippered, molded case for the battery and accessories. The replacement arrived in a cardboard box, with a generic bag for the gear. I think I'll keep it, but am disappointed it wasn't totally up to snuff. (Manufacturers - when you build a portable battery power bank, include the car jump-starter thing! I'm sure that's an attractive feature. Oh - I don't need the little air compressor that so many of the jump-starters seem to have. THAT should be the separate device.) ... show more

It's a great product loaded with useful features at about the same price as a single purpose battery charger. The vendor filled my order and got the product here lightning fast. My only issue is with the horrible quality of the operating instructions that came with the product; really poor as is typical of products from China. Fortunately, using the item is largely intuitive so function and usefulness is not terribly impacted by the lousy manual. But, it always helps to have detailed instructions as a reference. ... show more

This started up a dead battery on my SUV very quickly without draining the battery too much. I like the feature to plug in a 110v normal plug. However, the battery drained pretty quickly while using that feature. I haven't owned the product for very long so I don't know how the durability will hold up over time, but so far so good! ... show more

Considering the price of this product and compared with others in the same category I can believe how incredible has been working during this months, my car battery was really bad and this jumper works more than 3 times daily without suffering in charge percentage, about the electric output is not the best but for changing phones and other devices works perfectly and last 2 or 3 times a full phone ... show more

I love this portable charger. It came just in time for my mother's vehicle battery which seemed to have timed the arrival of this charger perfectly. However, I really got this particular charger to use the acv outlet to connect a steamer to clean a renovated building that had no electricity. It did not work. I then tried it with a blow dryer and it still didn't work. I'm disappointed but happy it worked well to start my mother's vehicle. ... show more
