The media could not be loaded. Update - over 200 miles in, this thing is fantastic. I have a few upgrades in mind but as is, it’s great. A brand new sub for $1k carbon bike is just not something you can find easily. Came with DT Swiss wheels with 370 hubs. The standard 18t was completely silent. I upgraded to the DT Swiss 54t kit. Love the new sound. Video included. This bike isn’t currently sold directly by Canyon in the US, though newer models are available internationally. There are also other configurations of this bike—most were sold with a Deore 12-speed drivetrain, but this specific model comes with the SRAM SX Eagle. You can search for the 2023 Canyon Exceed CF5 for exact specs. I was able to snag this bike for under $1,000—a remarkable deal for this setup. I couldn’t find a used bike anywhere with a similar setup at this price, and this one was brand new. This is my first Canyon, though I’ve been a fan for years, and I wanted to move into more cross-country style riding. The price was right, so I jumped on it. Two days later, it arrived—very well packed and about 95% assembled. The box was a bit dusty, clearly it had been sitting for a while, but that didn’t affect the bike at all. Assembly was simple and straightforward, and I was very happy with the setup. It even came with pedals (not great, but pedals nonetheless), and the included Torx tool is simple and effective—nice touch. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. For the price, you couldn’t ask for more. Everything on this bike is upgradeable and industry-standard, so there’s plenty of room to grow. Front wheel and front shock not link up, front wheel boost at 110mm ,the Fork 100mm. Amazon was offering $600 adjustment but did t follow through.

This could be a good race bike. It is everything it should be, rides and works well; good for trails, training and all around riding. The groupset, wheels and accessorys work well, shifting and braking are good. The main concern for racing would be putting the bike on a diet. It is pretty heavy. Wheels are nice but heavy, bars and seatpost can be switched to carbon but the groupset and front fork are just heavy. Great bike to build up or for the weekend rider. I bought two, one for me and one for the wife. It is bang for the buck and would recomend to a friend. ... show more
