I honestly don't think these do a thing. I’ve been using for a few months and I remove the cover to find it sitting on bottom of my hot tub. Coincidentally, I have been having problems with my water quality. I honestly dont know if its related but I am usually very good about keeping perfect water and I dont think I am doing anything different in that regard.
