NOT FOR HOT TUBS I was quick to order these for our hot tubs at our two STR rentals. They turned orange and disintegrated leaving a lot of orange residue on edges. I still gave a 5 star because it was my own overlook since they do say “ for swimming pools” and I assumed hot tubs would be no problem. Just wanting others to know - not a good idea.

This product does not work as advertised and doesn’t appear to be made out of the same material as any other hot tub scum product I have purchased in the past. I included a photo of three different scum products. The middle brown gross turtle is this brand- avoid it. The turtle I purchased from the multipack is only two days old!!! Gross!! The turtle turned brown and doesn’t appear to be working like the other scum removing products I have. The picture I included shows a white scum ball that is two months old, a scum turtle that is 10 months old and starting to fall apart because the kids play with it frequently(it is the whitish blue turtle and is a different product, not this brand). The brown turtle is this product and is only TWO days old. Don’t waste your money on this product. I wish I would have read more reviews prior to purchasing. It is brown garbage. My water chemistry is within normal limits, there is no reason for the turtle to discolor like that, especially as the much older scum products still appear normally colored. Buyer beware!

Bought these to get oils thar were floating on top of my pool. Tossed a couple in the skimmer and in a couple of hours they were green/ brownish color. My water was perfectly clear but these little guys got all of the tiny algae particles you could not even see were there. I would not suggest using more than a couple days before discarding because the chemicals do seem to break the spinge down, but they ate so cheap it's worth it.

Look great.....no apparent flaws, but replacing 2 every week, consistently,vs other products w much longer life or washability. Ok value for dollars, but fewer w better durability would be preffered
