So far these are some of the best joint health supplements I've tried. The supplement ingredients are shown to be beneficial, and the dosage included is great. The capsules are standard size and very clean with no residue or manufacturing issues. I like seeing the GMP stamp and while I don't see anything about third party testing the quality of these has been so good that I'm not concerned. Overall, I think these are a great turmeric supplement and I really like them so far.

I've taken quite a few Forest Leaf brand supplements and they do seem to be a legit company. I can't comment on any particular effect as I'm not taking these for pain relief but for overall health and inflammation, along with other supplements. I'm feeling better, but there's no way for me to say it has anything to do with these or not.

This is my first experience with the Forest Leaf brand of supplements, but I'm impressed with the quality. I do experience a bit of an aftertaste and a warming sensation in my belly. I assume this is due to the ginger, but am not sure. It doesn't bother me at all, but if you really dislike ginger then it might be an issue.

My joints and muscles have been enjoying this after about three weeks of daily intake. Going to ramp down to twice a week now. Great combo of nutrients at high potency - normal capsules - easy to take. Priced under $10 for the batch seems like a competitive rate but as always - price around.

Review of: **2265mg Extra Strength Organic Turmeric Supplement - with BioPerine and Ginger for High Absorption -Turmeric Curcumin with Black Pepper Extract - 95% Curcuminoids - Herbal Joint Support 120 Ct 3PK** First, a quick primer on Turmeric Curcumin supplements: the main number to look at when evaluating the amount of turmeric is the EXTRACT amount, that is, the portion that is 95% curcuminoids. The amount of turmeric **powder** in a supplement like this cannot be directly counted as curcumin, since the powder typically only contains about 3-4% curcumin. Most recommendations for curcumin supplementation are to get between 500-2000mg of actual curcumin, not turmeric curcumin powder, per day for ideal benefits. With that in mind: This Forest Leaf "Extra Strength Organic Turmeric" lists 2265mg own the label, but if you read the ingredient list carefully, you'll note that only 225mg of this is extract. If the 1875mg turmeric root portion has even 5% curumin content, that brings the total amount up to about 320mg (225 + ~95), which is still on the low side of the recommendations. You could increase the amount you take from three to four capsules and bring it up to over 400mg a day. Other than the dosage aspect, all of my other checkboxes seem to be hit - Made in USA, GMO free, lab verified, GMP, etc. So quality appears to be high, and I didn't find anything off in terms of the packaging or protective seals on mine. Finally, price: this three pack of 120 capsules per bottle is $30, or $10 a bottle. At three pills a day, this works out to 25cents a day. If you increase your dosage and take four a day, that brings out to 33cents a day. Pretty reasonable. Going with four stars overall for this one. Would have been five if the amount of curcumin extract per serving was a bit higher.

The name of the supplement is a bit misleading because I would assume it contains 2265mg of turmeric. Fortunately the label is clearer, indicating that the supplement has a total of 2265mg of content. Of the 2265mg, 15 is black pepper fruit extract, 150 is ginger, and 2100 is turmeric BUT of that 2100, only 225mg is 95% curcuminoids. This 225mg is the reason to take this supplement. Turmeric root contains only a small fraction of curcumin. Presumably because turmeric isn't making pharmaceutical companies billions of dollars, studies are not conclusive on how much curcumin should be taken when caring for specific medical conditions. Different sources say 500+ mg daily or up to 1.4mg per pound, which comes out to significantly less than 500mg for most of us. Let's assume for the sake of standardization that 500mg of curcumin is our goal. Since turmeric contains between 2-6% curcumin, let's assume the remaining 1875mg has 4%. That comes out to 75 additional mg of curcumin for a total of 300mg per serving or a neat 100mg per capsule. That means we'd need to take 5 capsules for our 500mg. With a total of 360 pills, we have a 72 day supply for $30, coming out to $0.42 per day. That's reasonable, but I was able to quickly find other options for around $0.34 per day for the same 500mg, though you'd be getting less ginger and black pepper. It does check the boxes most people want though, with third party tested ingredients assembled in the USA.

Due to autoimmune symptoms, I've used a lot of turmeric over the years and tried many different brands. This one is not the best I've ever used, but definitely not the worst either. It's a good quality, middle of the road choice if you want to try taking turmeric regularly to see if it benefits you. It's reasonably priced for the amount you get.
