Spirulina seems to help reduce my stomach acid problems, like heartburn and gastric reflux. I've had the problem for a lot of years. Calcium antacids like Tums and Rolaids also help. I usually chew one or two a day. But, while I want to have a good amount of calcium intake for health reasons, I don't like the idea of constantly taking one calcium supplement after another. More isn't always better. Somewhere along the way, I picked up that dark green vegetables like raw spinach and broccoli were said to be a natural antacid, because they're alkaline in nature. That seemed to be true. It helped. But, I don't want a spinach or kale salad with my morning coffee. Spirulina (it's green) is so dark in color, I thought I'd give it a try. Besides, it supposedly has other nutrition benefits. And, the pills are easy to take any time of day. The pills aren't very expensive, either. It seems to be working for me, as well as some other OTC things I do in combination. I decided I better look it up to see if it was my imagination. But, no, many search results said the same thing: these little green tablets are definitely alkaline when it comes to stomach PH. No need to worry about whether or not the tablets fully dissolve. If you keep one in your mouth for more than a few seconds, the pill starts to dissolve right there on your tongue. No worries as to the taste, though. Unlike some other tablets and capsules, spirulina doesn't seem to have much of a taste at all. ... show more

quality product, the only supplement that I ever fell in love with and actually take every day for about 3 years now, I feel like I can think better throughout the whole day and your getting so many greens that it doesnt even matter if u eat ur broccoli that night, u can also tell its good and fresh product because the fishfood smell, for those that dont know, the fish smell is a sign of fresh product, spirulina is an algae and grows in water ... show more

I like that you get a four month supply from one bag if you are taking the six pills a day! I like that the pills are easy to swallow. I don’t like the smell from the bag and the green fingers you get from touching the pills but the benefits from taking the pills is most important to me.
