They do come with the cables you need for either solution. They are very fast with little or no delay. The transmission range is as advertised. A great product at a great price point. They are little wider than most HDMI plugs, so if you have to fit multiple devices into adjacent HDMI ports (like in a video switcher) you might run into a problem, but that is a rare use case and the remedy is a simple, short HDMI extension cable.
