The media could not be loaded. Great Level 1/2 EV Charger Picked this up as a replacement for the charger that came with my Kia EV6 GT, and honestly it works exactly as it should. For anyone not super familiar with electrical stuff, here’s the deal: I tested it on both a 5-15 outlet (Level 1) and a 6-20 outlet (Level 2). On a regular 5-15 it never goes above 12A, which makes total sense because you shouldn’t push more than 80% of a circuit’s capacity (12A on a 15A circuit = 80%). That’s actually a built-in safety feature, not a limitation. Just make sure you don’t have other heavy appliances on the same circuit or you’ll risk tripping the breaker.I saw some reviews saying “it’s not Level 2,” but that’s only if you’re running it on 5-15. On a 6-20 outlet it charges at 16A (around 3.8 kW), which is plenty fast for daily use. I also really like the LED screen—it clearly shows amps, volts, and charging status at a glance. The adjustable current settings are super handy (I can set it lower if I’m sharing a circuit), and the delay timer is a nice bonus for off-peak charging at night. I thought about their 32A version too, but that one requires a NEMA 14-50 outlet, which I don’t have at home (and those aren’t super common anyway). For me, 16A is more than enough. I get home from work around 6:30pm, plug in, and by the time I leave around 7am, the car has added close to 100 miles of range overnight. More than enough for my commute and errands. Bottom line: I went with this version since it works with outlets I already have. No extra electrician bills, no fuss. It’s compact, reliable, has smart features I actually use, and so far it’s been rock solid.

The media could not be loaded. Got it on a coupon for $139.99, and it’s a fantastic deal — way more affordable than Tesla’s own chargers, and it works better. It defaults to 16A on a 120V outlet, which is great if you're using a 20A circuit (as many garages have). That gives you the fastest Level 1 charging speed possible. My outlet is only on a 15A breaker, though. I can manually lower the current to 12A in the Tesla settings or app, but even if I don’t, the charger seems smart enough to automatically step down from 16A to 12A shortly after starting. After that, it charges smoothly the whole time. It comes with a nice carry bag and the extra-long cable is a nice touch, I can easily reach outlets farther from the charge port. Also, even after hours of charging, the plug, cable, and charger body stay cool to the touch (tested both on 120V and 240V). Build quality feels solid, and the handle button opens the charge port on my Model Y every time — honestly, more reliably than my Tesla Wall Connector does.Awesome value for its price! If anything changes, I’ll update this review.

Just had a level 2 Tesla charger installed at my home but wanted a travel size charger to take with me “just in case”…ya know? Researched this one a lot. Wanted one that was good for level 1 (110v) or level 2 (220v). I ran a basic duty extension cord and charged my Cybertruck for 15 min to test it out. If you use the 110v attachment, it maxes out at 12 amps. If you have a 20amp outlet in your garage (most of us should) then you can plug it in directly and get 16 amps. Now, when I used the extension cord and had a solid 12amp draw for 15 min, the end of the cord got pretty warm so i ordered a 20amp extension cord so next time i use it, it wont get warm at all. Great charger and no need for the app. You can control the charger from the Tesla app. Works perfectly! Great value! Buy this and don’t research anymore! You will love it:)

Terrible!! Plugged it in and it added ONE MILE PER HOUR to my EV. Sent it back. It would take 2 WEEKS of 24/7 charging to fully charge the car.

Seems to work great and has good info on its display. We haven't had any issues with it, but keep in mind that it is the car that dictates much of the charging. However, for those that use it in 110v (aka 120v, 125v) with 15A sockets, it will only draw 12A rather than 16A for obvious safety reasons. I do have a 20A circuit, and wiring to match, but my socket is 15A so without swapping out the socket I'm charging at 12A. In other words, it doesn't know whether you have a 15A circuit or a 20A circuit and depends on you to have the correct socket for the circuit. It apparently has some settings that you can edit, but I just plugged it into the wall and then into the car, so I cannot comment on the advanced features; since the car handles most of the settings, I felt no need. I haven't had any complaints about the performance with just the plug-and-play approach I took.
